Geordi has a visor! Picard has an artificial heart! There's a whole episode of DS9 about an alien who needs mobility aids due to the station's gravity! People really like to forget what Star Trek is about!
I have a friend who said, of Starfleet Academy, that this took them out of it - that seeing a person in a wheelchair in the 32nd century seemed unrealistic, since medicine in Star Trek "should be able to cure whatever was wrong with them."

That's not the case, for any number of possible reasons.

It's my birthday so by law you have to at least visit the shop and go "wow what a good girl you did this all by yourself" & some local bylaws demand a purchase. I don't make these laws!

Thanks for all your support, younger me would be SO HYPED for today me <3

I have never, ever, *ever* worried about "competition" for my writing from LLMs. An LLM might theoretically create a music history podcast someone might listen to. It could never create *mine*.

LLMs can create "content" but they'll never create art.

Once again shocked by the very anti-Trek attitude of posting Star Trek spoilers immediately after an ep is available. You have no honour. You will not see Suto'vo'qor.

Starfleet Academy is first and foremost a YA show, maybe if you‘re a middle-aged man that can‘t find enjoyment in it, just leave it be?
I understand people are invested in this franchise and the negotiation what Star Trek is or isn‘t, but we‘ve had „new“ shows for a decade. Give it a rest.

Then look at the surface of Mars.

Then look up to the top right.

Spot Mars' moon Phobos high in the sky.

Then notice the bright spot beside Phobos.

That's Earth.
