the most interesting part of the story so far imo is how much corruption at the Court has been exposed with a relatively small amount of effort
i said this on slate’s amicus podcast but i really think we are only scratching the surface of the entanglement between certain members of the court and assorted billionaires and influence peddlers

We notched a big win for free speech in Newberg, OR. Far-right extremists took over the school board, banned BLM and Pride, and sued constituents who organized against them. Turns out: It's not reasonable for public officials to feel harassed when subjected to public scrutiny. Anti-SLAPPed!

Starting to suspect Threads is primarily designed not to capture the users fleeing Twitter, but the *advertisers* fleeing Twitter.
I am not on Threads yet. I will ultimately go there if it becomes the Next Big Thing because, as an organizer, I go where the people are (and where I can reach them). But Meta is such a fucked company and I would really rather not.
