Hey so “underage girls” are…children. The word you’re looking for is children. They’re not like, women-in-waiting or women-lite or whatever. They’re children. I think some of you are very uncomfortable with what that means for you but it is still true.

As someone who requires pain medication with some frequency - And different kinds, for all the reasons...

This is incredibly fucked up. There are a lot of potential reasons they might do this, I hate all of them, and they absolutely suck.
JD Vance calls ibuprofen "useless medication" and implies it's not "necessary, safe and effective."

www.sheffieldtribune.co.uk/sometimes-it... I wrote last week about two villains and one hero in the battle between truth and lies. Well here’s another hero - the Sheffield Tribune, one of the Mill stable of independent news sites, had the courage to publish an important story despite legal threats..
Sometimes it’s worth the risk
“We will definitely bring proceedings for Defamation and Malicious Falsehood if you publish such complete and malicious lies.”

Peterborough infirmary appears to have a very low mortality rate for surgery in the 19th century but I have nothing to compare it to. Has anyone seen any published stats on their travels?

As an outsider, I can normally rely on my general understanding of US politics to speak confidently about what's going on over there, but when it comes to stuff about healthcare I just can't follow any of it and have to rely solely on context cues.

I worked harder on this book than any before it. My ex-publisher then failed to pay me what they owed me for it & did their best to ruin its chances of survival. That robbed me of a year of my life & ruined my health.

After all that, to see reviews like this one brings me close to tears too.
Bloody hell! It’s been a long time since a book has brought me to tears. @dj-acid-reflux.bsky.social Thank you so very much for writing Everything Will Swallow You. Book of the year. #BookSky #TheStorygraph

Mamdani is going to implement Shart Law. He has promised to follow through.
Mamdami is going to implement Share Law. Everyone will have to divide the dessert they ordered for themselves, after specifically being told by their spouse “I dont want any!” Into two equal portions because “it looks so good in person! I just want to try it!”
Mamdani is going to implement Shar Law. Everyone will have to bow down to the Mistress of the Night, the Lady of Loss, and devote themselves to bringing about a darkness that will smother her hated foe and sister Selûne

Just been recalling a conversation I had last week with a family member who works for the NHS and volunteered to work on the Covid wards and at a Nightingale in 2020. I won’t go into detail but it was really moving and sounded incredibly traumatic. She’s only just starting to talk about it.

Both of these animals are 'pandas':
the red panda (Ailurus fulgens) and
giant panda (Ailuropoda melanoleuca).

But they're not closely related, with a common ancestor ~40 MYA.

So which one is the TRUE panda?

Remember when a toy would be unintentionally designed dangerously, it take out a kid’s eye or suffocate them, there was a media/public uproar and then they would take the toy off the market?

Was thinking about the guy who upset me being shitty about my mental health posting, but I guess, as long as there are people being shitty about it, then it still has a function.

As a society, we've accepted mild to moderate anxiety and depression, but there's so much more to mental health.

Book update.

I used to use a UK printer called Inky Fingers to print my books & they were always really good.

When looking at making my latest book, I went back to them to find they were bought out by a larger print company.
OK, I thought they seem to run things similar & still affordable

But...
