Had a meal locally with a friend, went early. Massive great big plate of Turkish food (4 lamb chops, a massive pile of rice with barberries in, Turkish bread, lots of grilled veg, salad) for £11.50.

Things that ruin a good detective/murder story imo:
1. The detective's family become victims more than once in a series. That's just silly.
2. Too much time devoted to the end bit... after they work out who the murderer is, and are racing to track them down.
3. If one of the main characters
