No, these are very serious comments.

ChatGPT has absolutely no goddamn place in graduate education. It steals from other authors, routinely gets major facts wrong, hallucinates sources, and generally makes the prose flat and boring as hell.

And if you shill for it in my mentions, I'll block you.

Eagerly waiting for when I can use my death stare and white male privilege to full effect on social consequences for fascists, alas I am not very tall and still look quite young. Intimidation isn't quite there yet. Someday!

wary of why former *Republican* Congressman Tom Davis got an appointment to a Board of Visitors on day 1 from Spanberger

look I know he's... significantly different from your average Republican in 2026, but it is still concerning!

70% of all Harris voters in 2024 and 65% of all self identified Democrats believe Israel has committed genocide

60% of Democrats believe Israel kills children intentionally and whopping 77% overall have a negative view of Israel.

The middle finger is clearly a known WMD (in the minds of people who fetishize civility, maybe?)

imagine being more upset about this than the death machines carted around by the illegal and "legal" shooters within this country
Leavitt complains that protesters are pointing their middle fingers at ICE vehicles

"Worse than Bush after Katrina" is a polling benchmark that I thought that partisan polarization had made impossible
Pollster: 58% of Americans say Trump's second term has been a failure. A year into term number two, Trump's numbers look worse than any other president. Trump is even worse than George W. Bush after Katrina and a long period in the Iraq War. This is really, really bad.

Yesterday, Coinbase withdrew its support for the crypto market structure bill. Hours later, the Senate Banking Committee canceled the markup hearing. They’re not even trying to pretend anymore that this bill isn’t written by the industry, for the industry.

It's a very stupid thing to argue to suggest that Trump has any conceivable ability to stop elections from occuring

If you are working yourself into fear and terror over voter suppression in more broad terms, you aren't wrong, but you should probably log off for a bit, that's always been here.

the question to ask about this is, okay, he wants to cancel the midterms. how does he get the VA state board of elections to cancel the midterms? how does he get the georgia board of elections to do it? how does he convince republican house members to quit their jobs and give up their paychecks?
Trump says a lot of deranged shit, but, per this Reuters article — and the threats of invoking the Insurrection Act in Minnesota this morning — he is very clearly exploring how to cancel the midterms.

there is a guy running for the Democratic nomination for Congress currently waxing nostalgically about the late 70s GOP, which directly led to the present situation, and a lot of people on here are stupid enough to believe he's some sort of ally or good person. incredible.

That first sentence lol

I wonder if he realizes just how much no one listening wants to hear that
Hakeem Jeffries: "Clearly, significant reform needs to take place as it relates to the manner in which ICE is conducting itself. ICE is using taxpayer dollars to brutalize American citizens and to unnecessarily and viciously target law-abiding immigrant families and communities."

This is the consequence of radical centrism. Meaningless, useless ideas like this.
I am introducing the Quick Recognition (QR) Act, which requires ICE and CBP officers to wear uniforms featuring QR codes. When scanned, the code would generate a digital ID displaying the officer’s name, badge number, and law enforcement agency.

ICE should be unmasked both physically and digitally.

I think the Dem leadership is mistaken to think that Ohio is such a top pickup opportunity for Senate compared to other options

Recall that Sherrod Brown has badly underperformed in both of his most recent two elections and that he couldn't even manage to defend Haitians against Vance's blood libel

She dismantled her era’s version of ICE.🧵

Final results in the Virginia #HD23 (Harris+35) special election:

Margaret Franklin (D)- 77.3%
Verndell Robinson (R)- 22.7%

A nearly 20 point overperformance from 2024, even doing better than Spanberger did here in November!

my takeaway about that Ford worker is that he's a self-described independent who voted for some Republicans in the past, presumably a white man in the working class

The actual Platonic Ideal Swing Voter is *that* angry at Trump

While Beltway pundits want you to believe that Dems should be fascist

I'm still wondering why multiple people stopped me to ask for help the last time I was at Barnes & Noble

The only idea I heard that might make sense is that it was a somewhat cold day and I didn't have a coat with me? So people thought I'd been inside??? I was carrying books because I'm me!
