Pritzker 2028 for now
Republicans haven't won a federal election of any kind in Virginia since 2004 and no statewide-elected office on the federal level since 2002. We'll manage lol

No one ran against Spanberger for the Gov primary and both progressives won their primaries against well-funded centrists for LG, AG lol

Did you link this thinking I'd be bothered or something? I voted for her, I also don't really like how centrist she is. The LG-elect is great and will make a far better Governor in four years.

It's safely Democratic, the rest of your premise feels particularly inappropriate when Tim Kaine and other Dems literally JUST made a vote that *did* change something in a huge way.

Republicans are not winning the seat in 2026 and Warner is in his 70s anyway. We've never had a POC or woman Senator.
November 18, 2025 at 10:23 PM
Ah yes another primary I support in a completely safe seat, thanks for mentioning it!

I know ball and that a rising star in the Dem caucus in the House cannot politically afford to go against the Dem leader in the House. That's fine! Well worth it for her career to continue to advance.

I am not "people," I can only answer for me. For my part, I'll be voting for a different Democrat over Mark Warner in my *primary* here in Virginia in June. He's voted for fae too many Trump nominees and I was rather disgusted by some comments he's made defending his inaction. Time for him to go.
November 18, 2025 at 10:20 PM
No, I think a decent, normal Democrat would be valid. Seth Moulton in particular should be thrown out of public life. I was referring in part to Markey's other declared challengers, who I'd at least want to hear out first.

All transphobes get a one-way ticket out of public office in my book :)
November 18, 2025 at 10:18 PM
Uh huh, deep red states like New York. Got it.

Joe Manchin is gone, I'm not sure who you think I'm calling for a primary on?

You want Fetterman primaried in a swing state, isn't that kinda against what you are saying here? (I do too, but...)
November 18, 2025 at 10:15 PM
Nah I'd like if my leaders who are protecting the rights of all the vulnerable folks in this country weren't being advised by imaginary Long Island Republicans (again, he's talked about the Baileys for DECADES, it's not a joke) and if those leaders could be better organizers and less embarrassing.
November 18, 2025 at 10:14 PM
Voters blame the government shutdown on Republicans 2-1, so yeah? That seems like a good, effective thing to do to win elections and fix the mess sooner?
November 18, 2025 at 10:11 PM
Seth Moulton is a horrible transphobe who should be thrown out of office, yes!

I supported Markey against Kennedy last time, but I'd be fine with a primary challenge to Markey. If he deserves the office, he'll win the primary, right? It is okay for democracy to challenge our leaders and ask of them
November 18, 2025 at 10:11 PM
See I'd argue we actually have plenty of those and it's Schumer and other capitulators in the Senate who don't have the energy for a fight. Kamala Harris had no money issues, nor did any statewide candidates this month. Primaries are months away still, let alone next November / 28 / 30 for Senate.
November 18, 2025 at 10:10 PM
I mean... Dems just swept elections this month despite Chuck Schumer being despised. It doesn't really make a difference! Trump disapproval is pretty much the only number that actually relates to voter intentions.

I think it's good that Dems aren't unthinking cultists like fascists, actually?
November 18, 2025 at 10:07 PM
I am at least glad you acknowledge that Fetterman is a problem, that's a start. But it goes so much further than him, if to a lesser extent.

And I would point fingers at the useless Dem chair in NY, Jay Jacobs, if we are looking at wasted money on campaigns in NY. He bungled Nassau County last week
November 18, 2025 at 10:06 PM
I told you already, if Dems could stop voting for terrible CRs and letting Trump nominees get confirmed easily (instead of causing maximum delay, as you know Schatz, Booker, etc. have claimed to be doing sometimes), that would be better. Schumer is also just bad at articulating the anti-Trump case!
November 18, 2025 at 10:03 PM
Okay but the entire difference is Republicans, you realize that right?

Like, every Dem who disapproves of Schumer hates Republicans more than *he* does and also polled as disapproving of them.

So... there's nothing wrong here except Chuck Schumer being stupid and losing the trust of his voters.
November 18, 2025 at 10:01 PM
Let me know when a US Senate primary is a competition between a Democrat and a Republican then, last I checked you and I and everyone sane will vote for the Democratic nominee then in November. What's wrong with tossing the incumbent out in June?
November 18, 2025 at 9:59 PM
He is not "listed as worse," he has a lower approval rating. As in, fewer people APPROVE of him.

Which makes complete sense. Republicans approve of Republicans, Ds and Is don't. Republicans don't approve of Schumer and Ds and Is also don't. Presto, awful numbers. It is not a direct comparison!
November 18, 2025 at 9:56 PM
It's very convenient for you to just make up things I am arguing for instead of engaging with the idea that critiquing our leaders is healthy and good, all the moreso in a time of crisis when we need our best.

Schumer didn't go help Kilmar Abrego Garcia. CVH did.
November 18, 2025 at 9:55 PM
Seems kinda disloyal to Joe Biden for you to not support his nominee, I thought party leadership was inerrant by your logic!
November 18, 2025 at 9:54 PM
No one thinks Chuck Schumer is worse than Republicans. That is NOT why he has a lower approval rating. You are arguing against nothing, I think he's terrible and I would never say he's worse than even one Republican.
November 18, 2025 at 9:53 PM
I'm calling out the Democrats who are letting 60-vote bills to fund the government through with their votes. The rest are doing fine voting no, besides the ones who defend their colleagues' behavior.

Chris Van Hollen would be a fine new leader in the Senate, for example.
November 18, 2025 at 9:52 PM
So you have no standards whatsoever for who you think is acceptable as a Democrat, so long as they are less of a cartoon villain (which I fully agree on as a descriptor for the GOP) than Republicans

Anything is acceptable to you as long as they... have a D next to their name? They don't hate Rs lol
