I was just thinking about contributing to the "charity" Feeding America. Until I discovered that the salary for its CEO, Claire Babineaux-Fontenot, was approximately $949,866 in 2024, with her total compensation being $1,113,502. Apparently, feeding America isn't her top priority.

This is simply reality.
You cannot have a functioning economy when so few people at the top hold so much of the nation’s wealth. It’s not sustainable.

The subtext in JD Vance asking for "patience" on the economy: When leaders stop talking about current conditions and jump straight to rosy forecasts, they’re signaling the present isn’t defensible. That’s your cue to scrutinize the numbers, not just the narrative.

Thanks, Donold. I didn’t know until you explained it today that turkeys eat grass and beef. Growing up on our farm, I mistakenly thought they mostly ate grains and bugs. We never thought to serve them ribeye. Our bad.
