A very good piece on ethnic candidates who run for political parties whose membership despises them. We see this in Canada now but it is a huge factor among MAGA Republicans. (LondonCentric is a great UK journalism startup.)
Nine years ago a Twitter user was sending poetry to Sadiq Khan about London’s many cultural identities. A decade on, Reform UK’s mayoral candidate doesn’t dispute it was her old account - so what’s changed?

No offence, but it sounds nutty. Before the 2024 election wouldn’t a gay man have found this manner of political talk kind of comedic? Who started this national “hotness” thing?
Bessent on Greenland: "Peace through strength. Make it part of the US and there will not be a conflict because the US right now, we're the hottest country in the world, we're the strongest country in the world. Europeans project weakness. The US projects strength."

Women, remember to watch out for men with glasses with the little white light in the upper rim corner. Especially in doctors' offices, changerooms, at work, on the subway, the grocery store, Minneapolis, Portland, everywhere basically. www.thetimes.com/uk/technolog...

This photo was taken in 1911 using glass plate technology by Herbert Ponting who was part of Scott's Antarctic expedition,

The composition and detail are exquisite with the band of white snow/ice creating a perfect frame around the two people and the ship in the distance

Iconic imo
