Why are groceries so expensive? And why did we work so hard to block the Kroger-Albertson's merger?

My cis wife, a 26-year law enforcement officer and U.S. Army MP, endures security calls, yelling, hostile stares due to the increase in fear-mongering lies about transwomen. I wait by the sinks. We smile too big, chat too loudly in high voices. We breathe a sigh of relief as we exit the restroom.

Here in #seattle where rents are notoriously out of control, my own Rep. Santos in S.Seattle (37th) voted AGAINST a bill to stop rent gouging last night. 🤯 I'm a small landlord and even I support this reasonable bill (HB 1217) to cap rent increases at 7%. Too bad my own representative didn't. #waleg

It’s the same dynamics over and over again, from “voter fraud” in 2020 to “waste and fraud” now. Set the frame, manufacture evidence to fit the frame (through fabrication, misinterpretation and mischaracterization), amplify that evidence to reinforce the frame, repeat ad nauseam.

Dear elected officials:

I don’t need you to post about the bad things Trump is doing.

I need you to post about what you are doing to stop those bad things. And how you’re helping the people hurt by those bad things.

Sincerely,
Me

30% of our team at @pwrhsstrategic.bsky.social is trans. We didn’t bring them on because they are trans, but damn am I proud of their excellent work and who they are as people. 💗🏳️‍⚧️
alright you wanna know how to support trans people?

hire them. It's REALLY hard already for visibly trans people to get jobs, even before this shit.

Support places that have trans people working front of house, and make sure owners know that's part of why you're there.
