Nurses are pissed.

This is on the front page of the nursing subreddit, along with many discussions about it on several other posts.

ICE just gunned down ANOTHER person, beating a man half to death before shooting him at point blank range. What the fuck are we doing?

ARREST ICE NOW. PROSECUTE ICE NOW.

I will not rest until every single one of these murderers is held accountable to the communities they terrorize.

It got extremely spicy here in (a specific small area of) Portland last night including a wide array of irritants & launching styles. While I enjoy cataloguing in general I do not enjoy people getting fucked up by pepper balls, saf smoke, CS, skat shells, and HC.

Good afternoon from downtown Chicago, where despite heavy snowfall, thousands have gathered for an anti-ICE/CBP demonstration in solidarity with the Twin Cities. More are still streaming in.

Lt. Illinois Gov. Juliana Stratton just addressed the crowd, and called for ICE to be abolished.

Let us all have the courage displayed by the residents of Minneapolis.

Absolutely right. There have been protests, but the vast majority of people’s activity here in MN is better described by one of Ian’s terms. ⬇️
And that work is vast, ongoing, every day, by a truly amazing amount of people.
Protests happen, but most of what is happening in Minneapolis isn’t protesting.

More accurate terms:
- observers
- witnesses
- volunteers
- neighbors
- residents
- people
One thing that irks me: people keep calling the folks on the streets in Minneapolis protestors. They are not generally there to protest, they are there to observe and document. This is the product of organizing and mutual aid. It is telling that these acts of citizenship are seen as protest!

We are not the first people, or the first country, to suffer under a tyrannical government that does not respect our lives, or our rights.

There is a method for how to effectively resist, and eventually topple, such a regime. We can learn from others who came before us.

This is my favorite guide.

Hundreds of constituents braved the cold today to protest in Longmont.

The lawlessness and cruelty being perpetrated against the American people must end.

I voted against the ICE funding bill — the Senate must do the same this week and block the bill!

I spent my morning celebrating Colorado and the best of American institutions, came home, saw the news, told my Republican parents they are traitors and Nazi sympathizers, then slept for four hours. I will try to more productively fight fascism tomorrow.
