Being the known #himbo in my circles of friends, the question of “what is a himbo?” is something I have had asked from time to time. So…

What Is A Himbo?
What Is A Himbo? Himbo is a male version of a bimbo. A term that was pretty popular in 80s and possibly used as early as the 60s. Classically both words were meant to be derogatory to describe an attractive but not terribly bright individual. As with many slang words used in popular culture the meaning has evolved and is not always used in the strictest sense of what they once meant. By modern standards some have chosen to embrace being a himbo as positive identity. Some say jokingly the modern himbo code is three pillars: Pure of heart Strong of Muscle Dumb of Ass But even by that it is not always a strict rule that someone has to completely and absolutely embody those. Not all Himbos are idiots. Some can be quite smart at times, but also have air-head or "I don't get it" moments to things that are not always complex. Those that willing want to embrace being a himbo are usually guys that want to workout, get buff, try not to sweat little things, prefer being nice over being an asshole, and not spend too much time thinking...especially about things that will only make them stress.
