Arizona Diamondbacks - Georgie O'Keefe - love that desert baby, lose those constantly varying color sets (turqouise anybody), love those vaguely genital-like fixations (are the flowers vaginas? is "snakes alive" phallic? many people are saying) Colorado Rockies - Thomas Kincaide - absolute empty calorie junkfood art, but despite a lack of objective quality, it makes money and has its devoted fans Los Angeles Dodgers - the Impressionists - if a museum needs money, they put together an Impressionist exhibit. The ultimate cash cow, the art that *everybody* knows based on big name recognition for your Monets, Ohtanis, etc, and also the Getty has a pretty sizable holding San Diego Padres - Pop Art - thinking specifically Warhol silk screen prints, incredibly quickly produced and launched into the larger consciousness, don't spend years developing a farm system just trade for and sign everybody you want to make San Francisco Giants - group f/64 - Photography collective based out of San Francisco, best known for Ansel Adams, all about capturing the natural state of the American West. Also like the Giants, has roots back on the east coast, feels like they're really trying to play up how West coast they are now.

Athletics - Indigenous art - artifacts that often time have deep significance beyond just art to their people that have been taken by institutions represented by rich white men away from their original cultures in order to be put on display in a weird setting that is completely devoid of their original context Houston Astros - Ashcan school - a turn-of-the-century urban art movement that was always thought of critically in terms of how it related to New York (several playoff series v Yankees, dynasty talk, etc). Also, it rhymes with trashcan. Los Angeles Angels - Dada - highly priced assemblages of varying aesthetic quality made of whatever is available, be it toilets, wooden chair parts, or Tim Anderson Seattle Mariners - ukiyo-e Japanese Woodcut prints - a style from a remote, far-off location that few call their favorite but many have affinity for after their favorites because after all, not much overlap. A couple big names like Hokusai or Griffey . Also, like the Mariners, has been incorporated in Nintendo games. Texas Rangers - Light and Space movement - most associated with James Turrell, this is all about taking advantage of massive swaths of open land (often in the desert/American west) to construct site-specific viewing experiences at great expense, like seeing a middle infield of Marcus Semien and Corey Seager in a building that looks like a grill

Chicago Cubs - Art Nouveau - coming about at the turn of the 20th century, incredibly commercially successful, has always had ties to public transit (think all of the paris subway stops or the El train near wrigley), bringing nature into urban spaces that had been previously devoid of it (ivy in the outfield) Cincinnati Reds - Neoclassicism - a school that is above all concerned with reviving a former historical period, of re-forging a connection to the past and to tradition, woefully out of date on the whole Milwaukee Brewers - Bauhaus - a literal school/institute from Germany, linked to Wisconsin's German heritage; a very insular organization where everything was made in house, a sort of elevated factory set up much like the one that just keeps making catchers and pitchers again and again because of their adherence to a certain design philosophy meant to created "comprehensive" artwork Pittsburgh Pirates - Minimalism - I mean, c'mon St. Louis Cardinals - Primitivism - to quote its wikipedia page, primitivism "proposes that the people of a primitive society possess a morality and an ethics that are superior to the urban value system of civilized people". Chicago White Sox - Auto-destructive art - a post WWI school that was concerned with art that documented the destruction waged by the horrible events that had concluded at the end of the tumultuous 1910s decade with the War and also the black sox scandal Cleveland Guardians - Art Deco - huge in the early 20th century, very associated with the original midwest (great lakes states) due to its connection with trains and train stations, also the very literal school that the Guardians of Traffic statues represent Detroit Tigers - Neofuturism - based around the ideas of what we once thought the future would be (platoons and bullpen games are the next wave we swear!), a lot of influence from the look of mid-20th century industrial manufacturing in middle-America Kansas City Royals - Nouveau réalisme - originates in the 1960s, set up as a kind of traditional contrasting response to pop art at the time (think retvrn before retvrn), very famous for a very specific shade of blue (power for KC, IKB or Yves Klein's International Klein Blue ultramarine shade of paint for nouveau realisme) Minnesota Twins - Op Art - otherwise known as optical art, uses trompe l'oeuille's or "tricks of the eye" optical illusions to warp your perception of what you're seeing. If you think the Twins will be good one year, you are wrong, and vice versa.

Atlanta Braves - Frida Kahlo - was "locked up" as a well-regarded talent at a young age (started living with Diego Rivera at age 21, same age as Acuña when he signed his extension), also gets a lot of modern criticism for what is now seen as a kind of appropriation of indigenous cultures - still good, you can still like it, just a little icky Miami Marlins - Fauvism - who needs things like recognizable figures and mainstream success when you can have BRIGHT FLASHY GARISH COLOR PALETTES (and really nothing else) New York Mets - Young British Artists - group best represented by Damien Hirst, who makes insanely expensive works like diamond encrusted human skulls or formaldehyde suspended sharks with no thought to the cost; also a lot of these pieces have become some of the major draws in New York museums in recent years like the Met, replacing older, more traditional galleries Philadelphia Phillies - Italian Futurism - bright vibrant colors that correspond to their suite of jerseys, hard (launch) angles and big blocky shapes like their big beefy sluggers, associated with patriotism but a certain kind of fashy patriotism Washington Nationals - Mannerism - a school that carried on the legacy of the previous Renaissance movements (various Senators incarnations); as one of the last Renaissance movements, remained one of the last movements deeply tied to the patronage system (the relationship between FO, owners, and Scott Boras); characterized by human forms that are at times stretched beyond usual proportions for effect, lots of elongated bodies and limbs much like James Wood

Baltimore Orioles - Pointillism - obsessed with (data) points above all else, trying to make a larger image not out of actual shapes (players that cost money) but just millions of individual smaller components instead (pre-arb players, waiver wire castoffs). Because it takes so long, very few artists in this school actually had a large body of work.... Boston Red Sox - Hudson River School - a very old and classic "American pastoralism" school that was intended to get people out of the big New York City area at the time and travel to other places on the east coast for vacations, lots of landscapes of big green swaths of forestry and other quintessentially American locales (no monsters in the greenery but still), fell out of fashion for several decades after its heyday New York Yankees - Medieval/Byzantine iconographic work - a style that was unchanged for centuries, inspires pilgrimages, incorporates a lot of gold (Steinbrenner money), and is obsessed with its saints (or alternatively its retired numbers) Tampa Bay Rays - Cubism - the cubist artists like Picasso were often very talented at making "More Realistic" art but chose instead to make a piece by breaking down, similar to how the very good Tampa front office insists on basing their work Toronto Blue Jays - Group of Seven - a 20th century group of Canadian landscape artists who were concerned with making a distinct style that would reflect the intrinsic beauty of Canada itself and inspire national pride, they would've loved Vlad Jr.
