Used to be an adult animator back before it was profitable or popular. Quit right before the patreon age (Knew it wouldn't last, but it lasted a lot longer than I thought). Really should kill this username, but...

They forgot the part before that:

"Next, many of my Christian friends have asked me to find Jesus before I go. I’m not a believer, but I have to admit, the risk/reward calculation for doing so looks so attractive to me. So here I go:"

Kind of changes the vibe, doesn’t it.

Funny how anime immediately stopped being culturally relevant once AI could generate 3DPD

Personally, it seems weak, hyena like to gloat about what has been caused by simple time and entropy as if it was some sort of cosmic justice.
Looking forward to say, Trump kicking it, but the fact is he'll keep on truckin' until he kicks it on his own terms and none of his opponents will have had
Before publicly celebrating terrible things happening to bad people, maybe don't just ask yourself if such statements are "fair" or if those people "deserve" what's happening to them...

Maybe ask yourself:
"Will this help?" and "Is this healthy?"

And take a moment if the answer to both is "No."

Scott Adams, creator of Dilbert, passed away today from cancer. Despite what he later became, he was an enormous inspiration to me, and I think a lot of the comedic flow I do still derives from him.

Just a couple of days ago I looked and he was in a group video chat from the hospice all smugposting about Trump with his friends.

Died how he lived, I guess.
RIP Scott Adams, thank you for doing a guest comic for us that one time

Sherlock Hound is a gem. Hayao Miyazaki built an idea from an Italian studio into a brilliant adventure series.

It was a turning point in his career, and his last TV show. Behind it were clashing visions, young talent and lots of money, as we explore:

Apropos of nothing in particular, A. Solzhenitsyn:
"And how we burned in the camps later, thinking: What would things have been like if every Security operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain whether he would return alive and had to say good-bye to his family?"

A lot of us have actually made a webcomic ring called Chimera Comics after we left hiveworks: chimeracomics.org

This isn't the full list as some artists want their hands completely washed of the situation, but this is a start!

Any land enclosures (which these days include the use of people's work) need to be made with permission, and accompanied by an in-perpetuity dividend to those who contribute.

And any replacement of people's jobs needs to be accompanied by an in-perpetuity dividend to those people.

As this thread points out, increased productivity is good (as long as it's sustainable). All the problems arise from two other things:

1. What has been appropriated from people to drive the increase, and
2. What is done with the money made from the increase.
i think a core beef that i have with a lot of this "automation is bad" sentiment lately is that there is no inherent moral good in laboring

the story of humanity is one of invention, where we improve our conditions by building things that help us do more things more easily
I've been sitting with the discomfort here a bunch, and to me this is it, right? What is being suggested is that I engage in an act of self-flagellation (resolving thousands of lines of merge conflicts by hand) because the richest man in the world uses some of the same underlying tech to peddle CSAM

Frieren is an ok show, but everyone is so overpowered. The redhead kid can cleave open mountains, the shopkeeper can raise a plateau. Dungeon Meshi is my preferred show because for one thing the characters have to use their brains a little rather than "Magic missile" everything.
Final trailer for "Frieren" Season 2 (starts airing in 5 days).

In hindsight, as an immortal Gandalf was perhaps being a bit disingenuous about this conversation.
"I wish it need not have happened in my time," said Frodo.

"So do I," said Gandalf, "and so do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us."
