I finally reviewed Monster Hunter Wilds. I have a lot of positive and negative things to say. Enjoy.

Been thinking about this a bit and something that occurred to me is that on some level the developers are aware of this because every main story mission in MHWorld and Wilds does not tell you who you'll be fighting until the story cutscene.
So by design you cannot prepare for them at all. Strange.

The games have minimized hunt prep too much. Rise and World were as far as they could push it (in my opinion). Going back to GU isn't an arduous task like you could expect, but for the entirety of Low Rank in Wilds it's just GONE
You know that might be it. All of the QoL since World has been about minimizing hunt prep and side chores so we can just get to it and then this game has you /not/ hunting for long stretches just for the sake of a story that doesn't pick up until the final stretch.

I think the main audience for the Steam Cube is gonna be people who have a large steam library but haven't upgraded their PC since like 2017. The actual PC market is a nightmare right now and something that is affordable and can handle upper middle tier games acceptably is an easy sell

Im telling y'all, Age of Imprisonment has THE SAUCE. Game just lets you do the coolest shit constantly, and so far has some of the nastiest setpieces in Zelda history. The Mysterious Construct and Calamo are instantly some of the coolest guys ever made
