I make YouTube videos, mostly about Monster Hunter.
90% sure the only guy you can actually prepare for is Nu Udra lol.

Which means not needing to prepare is an actual intended feature for the story, bare minimum.

ALWAYS wore a suit too.

Eh they announced them several months ago, so if they're taking this long then I imagine they're rewriting a lot in regards to how the CPU handles the game.

They also made a note of it in their TU4 release date announcement.

I did this and for the first time ever I was able to wonder in the grassy field of the Windward Plains at a locked 60fps.

Zelda dropped the idea of having any kind of companion and sold 40M copies. What possessed them to have one here?

Interesting. The one in Prime 4 seems like a proper companion though.

Exactly. The numbers are small but when you look at how many new games are being advertised or updated to be compatible on Steam Deck it shows just how far Proton has come.

Arguably Steam is trying to compete with Windows here and that's a way more interesting discussion than typical console war bs

But when the conversation is with Nintendo, the Switch, the Wii, Xbox blah blah it gets boring really fast. Who cares!
November 14, 2025 at 2:08 PM
On a surface level the Steam Deck was competing with the Switch but imo it wasn't Valve's goal - the top priority was to get publishers to start making their games functional on Linux. Steam Machine is the next step to that.

The whole deal with Proton is fascinating and they made lots of progress!

It's an interesting conversation with Steam at least because they're trying to make PC gaming way less reliant on Windows, this has been an initiative since Windows 8 where some Microsoft exec floated the idea of banning third party storefronts. Valve realised they could be in trouble one day.

Finding out that most people use the budget GPUs put a lot of discourse on current gen games into perspective.

I'm 60% sure Impa outright says it at some point but I'd have to double check. I'd also say it's probably the natural assumption - Calamity G has always emerged from Hyrule Castle, and Ganondorf is locked underneath.

Only question is why did it take 30K+ years for someone to look down there.
November 13, 2025 at 9:01 PM
Super telling that the coolest part of the game comes from them blatantly retconning a scene from TOTK. Because that means as it is that game truly left them with NOTHING to work with.

UGHHHH THESE PEOPLE ARE SO BORING!!!
November 13, 2025 at 8:55 PM
Rauru's seal probably wasn't airtight and so Ganondorf's power kept leaking and leaking, but as malice and not gloom and over time (10,000 years!!!) it became Calamity.

Once the seal started breaking, the pure raw gloom was able to leak instead which prompted Z+L to investigate underground.
