I know the knee-jerk reaction to all this is “are you really surprised/what do you expect”but feeling upset about inhumane things is good actually

The Trump administration is lowering the paperwork required to get a gun and heavily increasing the paperwork it takes to access Medicaid SNAP. That’s it. That’s the skeet.

I've been greatly enjoying the irony that the CSO and CEO of Mapbox are union-busting technocrat dipshits who worship the ground Elon Musk walks on but they still can't control who's using the tools to dismantle the master's house, as they say!!

I know a lot of federal workers from my time in DC (+ the Bay!) and I don’t know a single one who’s leaving. They’re mad as fuck - they’re park rangers, medical professionals, lawyers, aid workers - and they’re not going anywhere. Thank you all for once again holding the line amidst fascism 🫶🏻🫡

After nearly seven years of working at TAL, I just won the weekly competition to come up with the quote-joke that plays after the credits. I'm going to buy myself so many Berkeley Bowl treats tonight.

Very recently, I was talking to people about the lack of a good outlet for ebooks, and I cannot tell you how utterly delighted I am by this news. It’s awfully nice to be utterly delighted about ANYTHING at the moment. bookshop.org/ebooks

The only Smalltimore gossip I have related to the UHC shooter is that either his SIL or cousin-by-marriage was responsible for planning our high school reunion but her idea would’ve meant super expensive tickets and everyone got mad so she quit and we didn’t have an official reunion that year!
