That sounds like a terrible system then, sorry to hear it! Is each library its own independent entity? I'm used to libraries being run at a city/county level (in the US) so ILL gives you access to the entire system and it's just a matter of choosing where to pick it up

I'm sorry... what?? If you have inter-library loans then it's no effort at all. You just put the request in and get an email that it arrived at your library. Sometimes that email comes half a year later and it's a fun lil surprise because you forgot about it!

Why can't we just be normal about weight?? Like, GLPs would have helped my dad tremendously (he passed 10 years ago and his weight played heavily [heh] into that), but I think you're absolutely correct that this will lead to increased fatphobia too

I've been seeing a pushback against "helicopter parents" again lately and it's usually with the "crime is down all around and we're too overprotective!" But the child abuse rate is still really high and, iirc, is most likely to happen via an acquaintance over family or strangers (least likely)

I'm not saying Howard Lutnick should have died in 9/11 but I AM saying that I doubt any of his 658 employees who did would have been in the Epstein files

And it might be tbh? I pulled up an Excel file with what appeared to be all of the precincts and looked at how many rows there were to get the number, so if it was missing any information or was outdated then it could be for sure!

Then those states (wouldn't be half) don't get representation in the House of Representatives or Senate (if their senators are up for reelection, their Reps DEFINITELY are). Sure makes passing bills easier for Democrats, I guess! Republicans don't want to cede that power
