If this period of extreme right wing populism ends we must urgently look at our education systems. It has never been more important that young people are encouraged to think critically. We must challenge lauding of ignorance, the rejection of expertise and knowledge. We must invest in learning

The irony of Trump dismissing the Epstein files as a “hoax”, usurping the power of Congress, and trampling on the DOJ’s independence is that any attempt to stop the release of files only adds to the appearance of a cover up.

From Bronze Age Mycenae, it is said to be an exquisite example of imported Minoan stoneworking. Probably used to hold oils or cosmetics.
