All these horrible Epstein emails being in GMAIL means he was getting ads based on his crimes and that's pretty fucked.

Minds have brains, bodies..They exist in space. They need water, food, shelter. These things cannot be waved away.

The O.G. Nazis made plenty of fictiona about themselves, their claims of racial superiority and destiny. It was powerless before Allied bullets,.bombs,.and shells.
In 2022, Peter Thiel protégé Balaji Srinivasan—formerly of Andreessen Horowitz and Coinbase—envisioned a Second American Civil War.

He predicted it would be triggered by Bitcoin.

This is how it would work:

this should not be controversial 🫠

I know it's hard. I know. But the chaos assaulting us every day, this naked avarice and brutality, this is not the triumph of fascism, but its flailing attempts to avoid inevitable defeat.

There are more of us than them.

A similar story from Sweden when the government decided to fund music education. If you wanted to learn an instrument, wherever you lived, you could do it for free.

One result was ABBA, which led to *decades* of pop music and massive worldwide cultural impact.
I think a lot about the story Carl Reiner told: he’d have been a sewing machine repairman if not for a free WPA drama class. That led to other theater work, to Sid Caesar, to Mel Brooks, and all the rest. All because of one free class paid for by a government that felt the arts were worth teaching.
you ever think about the works progress administration? I sure do. I wish that was a thing now. I would be so glad to contribute my labor to like. A random ass local bridge

Where is the Meadowlark rock? Indigenous tribute to Willamette Falls is missing
The Indigenous creation story for Willamette Falls is known as an Ikanum; it has been passed down through generations and is only told in the winter.

The AI-response "Everything can be faked" discourse interests me partly by how much it leaves out of "everything."

AI might be able to fake a picture of a meal or video of a football match, but it can't fake the experience of eating or playing.

Being embodied seems like a kind of resistance.
