It's only "true" if you let corporations do it and sell the lie to you. There is nothing real or true in AI and assuming it'll just do the work of millions of humans because some CEO said it will is so very stupid and naive.
I understand why people are exhausted by AI hype, and why those of us squarely in the corner of "human dignity uber alles" see AI doomerism as self-serving hype, but I *really* think people on the left broadly need to start thinking seriously about the possibiltiy of the hype being...true.

My children know "I'm sorry" are some of the most important words we can say to other people when. But apparently using slurs is okay and good and saying you're sorry when called out is "cult nonsense." According to Will.

It's wild because all you really have to say is "I like the parts of the Declaration that talk about freedom and equality and wish we could drop the racist stuff." But apparently digging yourself into a deeper hole where you deny the FFs committed genocide against Native Americans is easier.
One can accept the realities of genocide committed in North America AND argue that it wasn’t the “intent” of all founding fathers. Have a good day.
