It’s been 2 years since my last full-time job and I’ve been scraping by with sporadic freelance and part-time retail. I need stability in 2026!

I don't know man I think the fact that a massive social media platform has a built in tool to take a picture of a child and put them in a bikini should be a society altering scandal especially in a society that has been repeatedly curtailing our civil liberties under the banner of "protecting kids"

I was digging through files on my old laptop, and found the heraldry I drew for my Animal Crossing island during lockdown. It feels like a million years ago now

I’m so excited it’s the year of the horse, because not only did I luck out and have my favorite animal be my zodiac sign, it gives me carte blanche to draw more horsies

I thought about making some eloquent comic about 2025, but this year, particularly the last 4 months, have been so emotionally, physically, and financially draining, that I’ve struggled to find joy and motivation in creating. One of my worst years, and I was at my lowest this week. Fuck 2025 :)

the entire LA animation industry should get to take turns beating their owed money out of Zaslav like a piñata
July 28, 2025 at 7:32 PM
Hahaha ever since Craig of the Creek became the latest victim of Zaslav’s merger bloodbath I haven’t been able to find a steady job. This man has ruined careers, ruined peoples lives, and gets paid MILLIONS for it. Hahaha hahaha

Well usually my apartment doesn't give 3 day notices unless you're 2 months behind, but I guess I'm special!! I desperately need to raise at least an extra $1000 RIGHT AWAY so if you can share this around, I'd be very VERY grateful!
My freelance was pushed back to January, and I haven't been able to find any other work. I'm offering whatever I can in return for help. Stories, comics, drawings. Leave a comment with your donation. I'll do it for you. Thank you so much to everyone who is able to help/share! ko-fi.com/tylerhendrix

I liked horses, and drawing was a way to manifest more horses. And then in middle school I got a detention for drawing too many horses in class and not paying attention, and everything since then has been a mad dash to spite that punishment.
With all this awful news going on i wanna ask this question once again to fellow artists and general creatives. What got YOU into art? what sparked that motivation to start writing? what made you wanna pick up a camera and start taking pics? Like share with us your reasons.

Still fundraising! Hoping to get to 100% in the next 3 weeks' time.

And thank you again to everyone who has helped out so far! It really does mean a lot, especially considering how rough it is out there for everyone these days

I was asked to pitch something to WB earlier this year. They passed on it, and maybe I’ll share my pitch someday, but I can’t help thinking about the projects that are in that development purgatory right now. Mergers are historically a bloodbath

The post-it auction ends tomorrow night with a show at Gallery 839! IATSE members still have time to buy some original art and support PAC, which could use the funding now more than ever
I’m thrilled to have these pieces in TAG’s Annual post-it show and auction! This is an auction that happens every year to benefit IATSE PAC. If you’re an IATSE member, be sure to check out the auction (and maybe bid on some art!)

All media mergers end up hurting writers, actors, directors, and everyone else who works in the industry. Executives, assistants, caterers, teamsters, everyone. Fewer companies means fewer jobs, period.

If we can only have art from people who "aren't in it for the money" that means we can only have art from privileged middle-class dilettantes. Making art being a viable career is responsible for nearly all worthwhile art, and if it's not a viable career any more we will get drastically less of it.

tragic, ironic, depressing and hilarious that LinkedIn, a service arguably partially responsible for the abysmal job market right now, is also responsible for this graphic
