A lot of the initial photos and news immediately after the storm focused on the Forest Park area, but make no mistake -- this storm walloped north city. At least 16 calls for collapsed buildings, all of them north of Delmar.

Sanctuaria in The Grove was just hit by a car.

There are no design improvements to prevent such traffic violence near this intersection in MoDOT’s Route 100 improvement plans.

I started this book and it's a fascinating read, technical but practical, the work of a man seemingly hell-bent on building the best house possible at a price working people can afford.

St Louis Magazine newsletter continuing a trend of media maligning Schnucks off S Grand. Sure, I've seen some shit there--ask anyone who shops there--but it serves some neighborhoods that need that store. You think Aldi, Ruler, or Jay International would be able to fill its shoes?

Backyard chicken power rankings, early summer '25

1. Charlotte
2. Sparkle
3. Fancy
4. Cupcake
5. Bert
6. Bebe
7. Betty

Big moves from Charlotte this round. Sparkle's been pushed off to the second roost bar, but still seems to hold status. Cupcake slid because she is dumb even by chicken standards
