Hey yall don’t apologize or be sorry for posting something nice or having fun today. I strongly believe humans aren’t equipped to handle this amount of info all day every day. Please live. Have joy. Being informed doesn’t have to be public and you don’t have to drown.

This right here is one of the core issues for me.

It rewards him for eliminating PR, and encourages other large companies to deploy chatbots to respond to press and have them treated seriously, which is antithetical to the whole point of seeking comment.
I dunno, man, I am horrified that journalists are anthropomorphizing AI chatbots

but I'm even more horrified that the specific ways Musk's disdain for journalism is actually resulting in journalists *rewarding* him with preferential framing they'd absolutely never give anyone else

Reminder fellow journos - attributing a statement to "grok" is like attributing a murder to the gun used in it. And don't get me started on how this leans into "officer involved shooting/weapon was fired" passive voice.

Tools don't comment. The correct approach was to ask who posted the comment.
Who is grok? Even if I was a lowly news aggregator, I would be embarrassed at my failure to answer such a basic question

It's quiet now and no one will see this, but that's okay.

Rang in the new year with friends and good vibes, and was reminded that while I can't say 2025 wasn't difficult, it wasn't BAD for me at all. Did a lot, grew a ton.

Here's to 2026. We made it. Let's keep looking out for each other.

I've said it before, and I'll keep saying it:

If you, as a manager, enable and allow abusive people under you to persist, then you yourself are an abusive manager.

It's as simple as that. You don't get a pass because they're under you and you're looking elsewhere.
A lot of this is on Harmon as a showrunner. Instead of apologizing for an employee’s egregious behavior (“sorry I’m such an incompetent manager of bullies”?) a supervisor needs to actually handle the situation and tell said employee: This is unacceptable in the workplace

It's been up for a while but a mutual shared theirs so now I want to. Last year I didn't get to have a tree, but this year I put one up. I try to get a new ornament every year to celebrate the season.

This year's is symbolic of course, and also a reminder of who tf I am.
