Whenever Ken Starr returns to the news, it's fun to remember that one deputy investigating Bill Clinton (and Vice Foster) was ... Brett Kavanaugh!

Extra fun to remember that GWBush FL Recount team in 2000 included Brett K, J Roberts, AC Barrett.

Plus help from FL gov Jeb Bush. Good times!
Ken Starr emailing with Epstein in 2018 is a really interesting thing to learn about!!!!!!

The fix is in.

Ghislaine Maxwell, transferred to a club med prison after Trump's lawyer met with her (and she likely spilled what she knows about Trump), is now being waited on "hand and foot" by guards and is getting her commutation application ready with help from the warden.

In theory this deal is days away from getting out of the senate unless they all agree to unanimous consent.

So this isn't over yet.

Just don't send the senators any fucking thank yous for standing strong if you are calling them. My god.

Some thoughts: Dems didn’t take election night *because* of the shutdown. That happened for the same reason 7 million people protested last month - because the GOP is wiping their ass with the US constitution. Even JAY JONES won his election after threatening violence against his opponents. 1/

Since the Democrats worked extra hard to hide who actually supported this, I think the No Kings/Resistance position should be to primary every Democrat unless they publicly call for Schumer's ouster this week

Either they go into total rebellion mode, which they won't, or the people will

It may be past time to start doing demonstrations outside of GOP Congresspeople's local offices.
Can someone explain to me why we’re paying House Republicans to stay at home and do nothing? SMDH

If our air traffic controllers and TSA, as well as, other essential workers have to go to work without pay, then why in the hell are all these lazy, do-nothing Republicans getting paychecks?!

Highly informative: the suit to fund SNAP was filed in an area that falls under Justice Jackson’s “circuit” and thereby gives her the authority to issue the “administrative stay”. If she hadn’t, would’ve gone to full SCOTUS - which would definitely have granted a stay without a deadline attached. /
If you’re trying to catch up on what went down with #SNAP late last night at #SCOTUS, here’s my attempt to read the breadcrumbs on the “administrative stay” issued by Justice Jackson—and why a justice so critical of the Court’s grants of emergency relief to Trump still granted temporary relief here:

Trump’s aid cuts are killing far more Nigerian Christians than Islamic terrorists are. Independent monitors in Nigeria report 33 deaths this year in attacks against Christians (fewer than the 88 Muslims killed). But Trump cut off aid that helped save 270,000 lives a year in Nigeria. 270,000 > 33.

My column from Monday. There’s a prefiled constitutional amendment in Alabama that would bar naturalized citizens from holding office. It’s such a blatant violation of the 14th Amendment that one must assume it’s an attempt to get the Supreme Court to further restrict due process and rule of law.
This Alabama bill targets immigrants. And the 14th Amendment. | Alabama Reflector
A proposed constitutional amendment backed by Secretary of State Wes Allen could provide another way to attack citizenship and due process.
