And such an always online reference. I know it’s an interview for the FT and they’re high information voters but come on.
Remarkable interview this. The gap between the subject's self-description and any willingness to put anything behind it continues to be astounding.
Tory leader Kemi Badenoch says she is Britain’s Javier Milei
In an FT interview, the head of the UK opposition says voters want an Argentina-style assault on state spending

Listening to the latest NS pod which describes Kemi Badenoch as someone who is tough to reach, disappears into her iPad and AirPods, doesn’t want to go far from her home and keeps banging on about a few niche areas of interest. Hard relate babe, hard relate.

This is after widespread criticism of their existing age verification process.

The right-wing press is going mad over votes at 16 ("a naked attempt to twist democracy in Labour’s favour", an "election-rigging move"...)

Oddly, they said the same 100 years ago when the voting age for women fell from 30 to 21.

Let's revisit the Mail's campaign to"Stop the Flapper Vote Folly"...

Said it before - procurement teams across government are being treated like unreproachable Gods and it's absolutely ruining multiple policy areas because they'd don't know what they're doing.

My most core political opinion - generic liberalism aside - is that the left on both sides of the Atlantic will never truly recover until it is honest with the public and explains that taxes on the middle classes have to rise to pay for public services, not just those on the super rich
I’m supporting the nationwide day of action calling on the richest to PAY UP.

In 2024, UK billionaires added £35 million per day to their wealth. Meanwhile, Brighton & Hove Council has an estimated funding gap of £17.2 million.

The money is there - time to tax it fairly.
