Sue is the absolute best kind of public servant. She'd be a huge asset to Rhode Islanders in statewide office! @sueanderbois.bsky.social
UPDATE - Providence Councilor @sueanderbois.bsky.social confirms this is for LG.

She’ll be joining a field of two other Democrats running: Lt. Gov. @sabinamatos.bsky.social
and fmr. state Sen. @cindycoyneri.bsky.social

May see 1-2 other Dems join. @billbartholomew.bsky.social? Councilman Xay?
INBOX: Providence Councilor @sueanderbois.bsky.social is holding a campaign kickoff event Wednesday, but it doesn’t specify which office.

Cost of groceries gets a lot of media focus. But I'm seeing health insurance, homeowners insurance, and car insurance increase really rapidly -- by double digit % just compared to 2024.

agreeing to make a terrible deal while your main opponent is quite literally being boo'd on live tv by an entire stadium of people is the kind of political instinct you'd normally only find in a 3 week old dead goldfish

How about we shut down the government for this very popular and specific goal and then, hear me out, we hold out for like a month and a half and then, ok this part is important, after a watershed election where we ran the table, ONLY THEN, fold and don't get the one thing we said we wanted.

Seeing it was Shaheen and Hassan leading the cave. Zero surprise. Trying to impress some phantom independent NH voter.

It’s no walk in the park to serve in Congress, and I don’t begrudge Golden for stepping away. But it seems likely that his polling numbers among his own constituents factored into the decision.

Favorability:
16% favorable | 41% unfavorable

Deserves to be Re-elected?:
26% does | 57% doesn’t

I'd feel a lot better about Pelosi's legacy if she'd stopped trading stocks.

It’s one thing to have different environmental/health priorities for your foundation, it’s quite another to have been bankrolling one of the primary sources of bullshit on the topic.

Striking how NIMBYs seem not to know how cringeworthy their statements look.

Today I saw a post about how zoning reform threatens to "urbanize"...Camden, Maine.

Facebook did this by the way. Mark Zuckerberg on-purpose melted our parents' brains for money.
one of my oldest buddies send a text he got from his mom to our group chat and this smart, thoughtful, liberal woman is fully convinced Zohran Mamdani has said he wants to kill all Jews

Spanberger wins men 18-29 by 14%, Sherrill by 10%, and Mamdani by a stunning 40%.

Remarkable to break 50% in a four way race of highly credible candidates. Go @jilld.bsky.social!
Board of Elections now showing 2/3 of precincts reporting and @jilld.bsky.social well head with 50.5 percent of the vote in the @pvdcitycouncil.bsky.social Ward 2 Democratic primary.

Okay, now it’s over (there aren’t enough remaining votes to make up the gap, even if Caldwell won 100% of them).

That's the real shitty part of punditry like this: under the guise of trying to help the Dems do better, it reinforces all the worst & most distorted impressions of Dems.

What the pundits want is not better Dems. They just want long, profitable careers as Dem Scolds.

the divide between Martin and Jeffries/Schumer, Mamdani's fellow NY Dems, has been extremely noticeable. it's also a problem indicative of their fitness for leadership!
It's annoying to keep having to point this out, but the actual DNC has been behind Mamdani ever since he won the primary, which you wouldn't know by reading some posts on here.

Nothing says “Democratic Leader” quite like “I will not tell you who I voted for in a general election.”
Q: It's election day in NYC. Did you vote for Mamdani or Cuomo?

Schumer: "Look, I voted, and I look forward to working with the next mayor to help NYC."

Just remember, they have been and always would call the Democrats communists no matter who wins. You don't avoid that by running 'moderates.'
