I like cycling and US policy/public policy. It's great because there is zero overlap and makes for a very interesting feed. Great to see so many of you move here from Twitter!

Keep Bluesky great.

If nothing else, the last nine months should have made it clear that elections matter. But what’s remarkable about America is that we have the power, as citizens, to change this country by voting. Go to IWillVote.com.

The unthinkable has happened. Through generations of service under administrations from both parties, America's food assistance program has never been allowed to fail U.S. families—until today, and this Trump shutdown.

I voted YES on Prop 50 because we cannot let anyone silence the will of the people.

California is fighting fire with fire and standing up for democracy everywhere. Vote yes on Prop 50 by mail or in person on Election Day, this Tuesday, November 4.

California – this Election Day, vote yes on Prop 50.

California’s Prop 50 says that if Republicans are going to abuse the system to try and hang onto power, we’re going to counteract that abuse and create a level playing field in the midterm elections.

Make a plan to vote yes on Prop 50.

(That means more content for the backer-only preview, The Adventurer's Hoard.)

Thanks for the interest & support. I do my RPG history work because people tell me they like it!

We have just over two weeks to pass Prop 50. And when we do, it will send a message of hope across the country, that change is possible if we do the work.

So, let’s get to it. linktr.ee/cadem

"Evil is repelled, recoils in the presence of Christ" is a powerful statement.
Chicago priest Fr. Larry Dowling describes procession to ICE facility: “No one had the courage to speak directly to us. No one from Homeland Security could stand in the presence of the Monstrance holding the Blessed Sacrament. No wonder. Evil is repelled, recoils in the presence of Christ.”

This seems to be their angle. If there’s a shutdown they won’t furlough employees they’ll fire them permanently. The fact that this is illegal kind of isn’t the point these days. I don’t see why this is much of a threat. They don’t have to do this. It’s a choice. They run the govt. when things …

When something blows up in the face of an asshole they automatically resort to "I was just joking, man".
JD Vance: "On the free speech conversation, I'm pretty sure Jimmy Kimmel was back on the air last night, and to the extent he's not back on the air it's because he's not funny and has terrible ratings. This is not a federal government problem ... the FCC commissioner made a joke on social media."

You didn't read the Jeffries letter, did you? I mean, he tells you straight out what his negotiating position is and you just... didn't read it at all.
You are really unqualified to talk about this

This kind of post is just so incredibly stupid. Criticizing a weak strategy isn't remotely the same as saying you hope they lose.

You have to be truly ignorant to think that criticizing the play calling of your favorite team means you don't want them to win.

I mean, you are not a serious person.

in the conservative conception of the world, the worthy are protected and free, while the unworthy have no rights and no protections. to them, saying kirk was “bad” is the same as saying he deserved to die, because in their mind “bad” people deserve whatever “good” people want to inflict on them.

You say the "problem of hunger among the poor" (5 words) and I realized I don't know what you mean. Does anyone ?What, exactly, do you think the problem is? Jobs? Food prices? Store locations?

You could have said "food insecurity" and I'd know in 2 words.
