I have a main account, @lattesdotter.bsky.social, but I wanted a separate account to talk about chronic illness and chronic fatigue. I have been suffering Chronic Fatigue for over 10 years and have gotten a lot of support from online communities.

An image of a misty river landscape. A small stream at about twice its normal size due to all the rain we've had in the last month. It's been the second wettest January in Dublin since records began. The plants here are quite washed out at this point though they're a hardly lot so they're still struggling on. When the weather is like this, clouds tend to sit low on the mountain and cause this nice glow if they thin out in the late afternoon.

Again and again, biology later proved otherwise.

This thread shows clear cases where medicine got it wrong, then changed its mind once real mechanisms were found.
