It’s hard to know if people outside MN understand how much of life is grinding to a halt here because of Trump’s occupation. Schools have shut down, businesses are scaling back hours or closing because their employees aren’t safe. The whole city is weighted down.

Idaho 97’s Mike Satz participated in the press conference about the killing of Nicole Good at the Capitol prior to last night’s demonstration. He pointed out the inevitability of this senseless act happening given the aggressive policies of this administration towards its own citizens.

The queer erasure in mainstream reporting about Renee Good’s killing is maddening and frightening. They bring up her deceased vet husband and don’t mention her wife, who was at the scene, in the videos! From cable news to the pod save guys, Rebecca Good is being left out.

I’ll add that from my perspective, there’s absolutely no doubt that the goal is to make me disappear. By stripping me of identification, employment protection, and healthcare. By endangering me in all public places. By erasing any legal status for me entirely.

What ICE is up to in Louisiana: www.theadvocate.com/acadiana/new...
The federal prosecutor says the sex wasn't forced because a prisoner in ICE detention and subject to deportation without judicial redress can freely withhold consent. I suppose these days I need to say that I'm being sarcastic.

I learned about this a couple of months ago. There is a caveat, however. If you take your mail to the counter during PO working hours, you can ask the clerk to postmark it in front of you. This is hardly a solution, but might be information worth tucking away.

It's truly remarkable how there will be news organizations and journalists who correctly identify that RFK is a menace and that HHS can't e trusted when he pushes stuff about vaccines or Tylenol causing autism... but cover the anti-trans stuff like "Well, HHS says so, and we should trust HHS!"
Trans youth healthcare is based in decades of research and supported by every major medical organization in the US. Under RFK Jr, a handpicked panel produced a dodgy report claiming otherwise.

It's a clear example of Kennedy's war on science. So why aren't news organizations treating it that way?
