Al Gore didn’t hold back: The Trump admin is “attacking the heart of truth,” twisting facts like the Nazis did in the 1930s. From climate denial to rewriting the Ukraine war, it’s all about power—not reality.
Gore warned the U.S. is under siege—and every former leader should speak out like he did.

This is a woman in Lockport distraught after an ICE agent took her son. What can I say about this horrible thing happening right here in my home town?

Is this the America I fought for?

There are no excuses. We must all stand up against the cruelty of this administration.

I just sat down with The Buffalo News to discuss my run for Congress. All across the district people are fed up with Claudia Tenney. From Lockport to Watertown, people are crying out for someone who will fight for them. I'm going to answer that call.

Bluesky is a retirement home for 39 year old millennials who are forcibly turning themselves into history dads (nongendered) so if you have a hot take about one of the more popular history dad wars you had better come strapped

This is all going to get harder, but they literally cannot legislate you out of existence. When tomorrow arrives, you will still be here, you will still be who you are, and we will all still be here with you.
The U.K. Supreme Court rules that Britain's equalities law defines a woman as someone born biologically female. The ruling means a transgender person with a certificate that recognizes them as female should not be considered a woman for equality purposes.

this + anyone complaining about the protests being too normie is a moron whose opinion you know now should be ignored. it’s a public service in a way!
fwiw, just from a branding standpoint, i think "family friendly" is a lot smarter than "nonviolent", because a skeptical person will see "nonviolent" and wonder why you have to specify that, whereas no normal person raises an eyebrow at "family friendly"

It's such an elementary point, yet one that escapes Trump, the GOP, and most reporting. Few businesses can do anything in the face of these tariffs except weather them by cutting costs and raising prices. You can't do long-term planning around them, much less make large investments based on them.
really a perfect storm of factors working against the supposed goal of the tariffs - long term planning is fucked because you can’t rely on policies lasting four hours let alone four years, anything you build in the USA might be tariffed abroad, and building the damn factories got way more expensive
WSJ: “.. Tariff-swollen building costs helped to kill a $300 million plastics recycling plant in Erie, Pa., that had been in the works for four years.”

I don’t follow anyone who sucks enough to say that nationwide protests are cringe, but I like to imagine them throughout American history. throwing tea into Boston Harbor is cringe. getting sprayed with a firehouse for civil rights is cringe. you’ll never see me standing up for my beliefs
