Yes! "The Three Stooges Conduct Foreign Policy" is playing on a TV screen near you!
Do I understand correctly that there is now a dispute within the administration about whether this "peace plan" was written by Russians or Americans?

The funniest part of this whole embarrassing scenario is that Trump, with no knowledge whatsoever of what was in this, was so anxious for a plan he could take credit for and brag about that he immediately claimed it as his own, and is now probably yelling at others for making him look bad.
Rounds: Senator Shaheen mentioned that Secretary Rubio did make a phone call to us this afternoon. I think he made it very clear that we are the recipients of a proposal that was delivered to one of our representatives. It is not our recommendation. It is not our peace plan.

This is an excellent point!
If this administration can’t even tell its own plans from the adversary’s, it’s probably not the moment to go looking for a new war.

For a decade, Russia has been seeking to divide Europe and America, to undermine NATO and weaken the transatlantic alliance. This peace plan, if accepted, will achieve that goal.

Yet another story. Has the long-lost "The Three Stooges Conduct Foreign Policy" movie finally been found?
The absurdity of the 28 point paper gets another twist.

US State Deputy Spokesman Tommy Pigott called the bipartisan group of US Senators, including Republican Senator Mike Rounds, liars.

This US administration has completely lost its plot, if it ever existed. Total chaos.

Trump said today that "Zelenskyy could fight his little heart out" about Trump's Ukraine surrender plan, and just a few hours later Rubio is saying it's not a U.S. plan at all. Clownish does not even begin to describe this regime. www.washingtonpost.com/world/2025/1...
Trump says Zelensky can agree to peace plan or ‘fight his little heart out’
President Trump on Saturday heaped pressure on Volodymyr Zelensky, as he pushed Ukraine’s leaders to agree to a 28-point plan to help bring an end to the war.

Marco Rubio, you own this shameful POS. You will forever be known as an enabler of murder and someone who punishes the victim.
Here is my read of the "peace plan" and how Kirill Dmitriev played the American media to force this thing into being -- with an incompetent White House scrambling to make it seem like this was somehow coordinated and well-planned. open.substack.com/pub/macspaun...

Not a shock that foreigners are masquerading as Americans to support the Trump regime.
This week we learned that many of the most active Twitter accounts are foreigners, most likely Russian influence agents, operating in the guise of Red State Americans.

And all those folks are equally competent!
One fascinating aspect of the Trump administration is that the Secretary of State has multiple other jobs but multiple people also act like they’re Secretary of State.

Funny thing, Trump's now former plan being "in perfect alignment with Russia's goals"
Meanwhile in Russia: state media hosts and experts praised Trump's 28-point "peace plan," noting that it's in perfect alignment with Russia's goals and does not take Ukraine's interests into account.

King: According to Secretary Rubio, this plan is not the administration’s position — it is essentially the Russians’ wish list that is now being presented to the Europeans and to the Ukrainians.

Agreed. Zelenskyy is a leader who puts his country first. Unlike some others one might mention.
Nice position to put Zelenskyy ad Ukraine in. I admire Z’s composure in his initial response to the ghastly agreement. Most rational people would have told the American contingent and witkoff to f right off.
Agreed. #TACOTrump backed away from the plan when the rest of the world and even some Republican pols were criticizing it as Russian-originated

As Santayana might have said, "those who do not learn from history are in the Trump regime."
For starters has anyone briefed the administration on Stalin's 1932-1933 starvation of Ukraine.

Did they actually expect this horrific mess to fly in any way, shape or form???

I'm skeptical that Trump's make Ukraine surrender plan wasn't real.

Trump envoy Witkoff negotiated it, details and threats to Ukraine were public for multiple days, and Rubio didn't dispute it then, only after the plan got a bad reception and rejected by Europe.

Look like attempting to save face.
Republican Senator Mike Rounds said Secretary of State Marco Rubio, in a call to senators, confirmed the so-called 28-point “peace plan” was actually a Russian wishlist and is “not the administration’s position”. Nor is there any threat to cut off weapons or intelligence to Ukraine.

More #Trumpflation from natural gas price hikes coming our way! Didn't Trump promise to lower prices during last year's campaign?
America's obscene LNG build-out only makes financial sense if the price of gas is cripplingly, devastatingly high for households

If households pay reasonable amounts of gas, then it means billions in LNG export investments go down the drain

Who do you think Trump is going to choose to bail out?

Haha!
I’m SURE the Times meant to say “…his determination to replace scientific research with superstition and conspiracy theories…”
Breaking News: Robert F. Kennedy Jr. said he personally instructed the CDC to abandon its position that vaccines do not cause autism. The move underscores his determination to challenge scientific orthodoxy — in this case, that vaccines save lives — and bend the health department to his will.
