This is not a peace plan. It is a proposal that weakens Ukraine and divides America from Europe, preparing the way for a larger war in the future. In the meantime, it benefits unnamed Russian and American investors, at the expense of everyone else.

Amazing to watch how fast they jump into the conversation. Before even reading or better yet understanding the “agreement”Then watch how they backpedal their way to cover their own asses and try to move their goalposts again and again. Pathetic trump pleasers. No spine. Just ass Kissinger grifters
And then she starts posting Russian propaganda every single day. What a coincidence.

So, to recap, Ukraine and Europe understand that America has effectively endorsed a 28-point plan to force Kyiv to capitulate, set a Thursday deadline to accept it, and threatened to cut off all aid.

Now Marco Rubio says it's all wrong, that's not the plan, there's no deadline and no threat.

Well, well, well....

Let's think about why the Russians leaked it and why Trump is pushing for it at this particular moment. Could they think his days in the White House are numbered and they need to grab whatever they can?

Depressing but not at all surprising.
For now, suffice it to say how depressing it is that the federal government is putting its authority behind this incorrect, decontextualized, and frankly boring vision of history at the same time that it is cutting funding for the NEH and attacking the Smithsonian's independence.

Sorry for your lost time.
I could go on with the errors, but note that all these corrections are only in response to the first seven-minute video. I will try to watch the next video tomorrow (can only endure a little bit of this "history" at a time) and post about it then.

And certainly no mention of the irony of American proponents of republican government joining forces with France, which at the time practiced an absolutist form of monarchy, in which the king had almost unchecked power.

History is malleable if you’re white and are too sensitive for the actual facts.
Trump/Hillsdale make the central drama of their series about how "a small rag-tag army defeat[ed] the mightiest empire in the world." No mention of how the French, Spanish, and Dutch all aided the US. Yet more French troops than American troops participated in Cornwallis's surrender at Yorktown.

Nice position to put Zelenskyy ad Ukraine in. I admire Z’s composure in his initial response to the ghastly agreement. Most rational people would have told the American contingent and witkoff to f right off.
Agreed. #TACOTrump backed away from the plan when the rest of the world and even some Republican pols were criticizing it as Russian-originated
I'm skeptical that Trump's make Ukraine surrender plan wasn't real.

Trump envoy Witkoff negotiated it, details and threats to Ukraine were public for multiple days, and Rubio didn't dispute it then, only after the plan got a bad reception and rejected by Europe.

Look like attempting to save face.

Republican Senator Mike Rounds said Secretary of State Marco Rubio, in a call to senators, confirmed the so-called 28-point “peace plan” was actually a Russian wishlist and is “not the administration’s position”. Nor is there any threat to cut off weapons or intelligence to Ukraine.

Administration sources were all-in on this Russian wishlist until it was revealed that it was an *actual* Russian wishlist and not just the worst possible peace plan for Ukraine.
