Pretty goofy the Cuomo bros are trying to claim Mamdani ran an "identity politics" campaign when Cuomo spent the whole time going "Bada bing it's-a me Mario Cuomo's son saying fuggetabout it to this Muslim who loves 9/11 because he's muslim. Now that's a spicy meatball from me, Mario Cuomo's son."

The Commanders confirmed that they expect the penalty for missing this target by a year is only $10 million dollars, and only to a max of 5 years or $50 million.

3. The cost to the District of delay of the mixed-use is ENORMOUS. The Council's Office of Budget values this at over $150 million per year. A rightful penalty would need to be in this range to be fair.

My mom and stepdad are from the same diaspora group as Zohran Mamdani’s dad (same like “my stepdad was kicked out of the same town and knows some of his classmates”) and apparently the New York Times doesn’t understand how diaspora works, so I am going to tell you a little about my mom’s people!

We're going to need Nuremberg trials when this is over, yes, and to send a significant number of people currently in the federal government to prison. But we're going to need an unwavering commitment to ostracizing the supporters of it, as well. Never accept them again in polite society.

It's unclear to me why the US Congressmen are not escorted by big armed cops to push through obstacles to them exercising their legal rights, and instead everyone now defers to the guys with no uniforms or badges or name tags to determine what is and is not legal?
In a lengthy exchange, with ICE Deputy Field Director Bill Joyce, Reps Nadler and Goldman are denied the ability to visit the 10th floor. Joyce says it's not a detention facility it's just a place ppl are housed for several days w/out beds.

I think if you’re a lawmaker calling for U.S. military action against Iran, you should be required to post a verified video of yourself pointing it out on an unlabeled map and offering at least an undergraduate level summary of the past five years of Iranian foreign policy.
