I try to be empathetic and see other people’s biases and mistakes and compare them to my own. We’re all human.

But I find it really hard to understand taking Mel Gibson’s medical advice over my own oncologist.

As a primatologist, Jane Goodall was a huge inspiration to me. I admired the way she describes chimpanzee behavior with such detail and empathy, and she’s inspired so many people and advocated for chimpanzee conservation and welfare.

However, I'm dismayed at what her narrative leaves out (1/10)

The country or your state’s immunity threshold doesn’t have to get to 0%. A 20% decrease in vaccination still has PALPABLE TANGIBLE CONSEQUENCES.

While some NNLM host institutions were able to float the offices while funding was paused or delayed in 2025... it is unlikely that happens again.
