@theguardian.com is killin' it with coverage of #COP30.

This piece is consistent with my own research that shows that IETA, which has big fossil as members, and pushes for emissions trading has more delegates than any other NGO at COP *for two decades*

This a big deal: "China’s carbon dioxide emissions have been flat or falling for 18 months"

China's economy has grown by ~5% in the last year, so this comprehensively debunks the idea (again) that emissions are tied to growth. So yes, faster progress needed, but this is how you turn the corner.

The "blue plaque" is too polite.

By presiding over the dismantling of USAID, Musk has caused the deaths of an estimated 600,000 people worldwide from hunger and preventable diseases.

Mostly children.

As Bill Gates said: the world's richest man killing the world's poorest children.
Someone put this "blue plaque" on a London Tesla showroom to mark his becoming the world's first trillionaire. “World’s first trillionaire Elon Musk. Could have solved world hunger but funded fascists instead. Bellend.”
