I made strawberry rhubarb jam today, and even got to put aside a pound of chopped rhubarb in the freezer for my Thanksgiving crumble. Thankful for a neighbor who shared their abundant bounty of rhubarbs with me 💗

Daughter baking up a storm. Blueberry yoghurt cake. Used fresh berries & followed the recipe which said to gently spoon through, but berries still sunk.
Tips?? Put some batter in the bottom of the tin first, then portion berries through remainder?

Cheap pantry meal. Onions & peppers (which I froze), can or dried black beans, can or frozen corn. Tortillas (I froze). Jar salsa/hot sauce. Protein of choice. Did scrambled eggs tonight. Could do beef strips, shrimp, chicken, cheese, even potatoes. Add cilantro for freshness.

Sometimes when I’m tired or cranky, I take the easy way out for dinner; pork & veggie potstickers with peas, pomegranate seeds & scallions in a lite teriyaki, & for dipping as well. Peas, pomp seeds and scallions are a weirdly wonderful combo! Salad, warm crusty bread and wine made the meal.

I’m here to attest to my never making pizza dough again when Trader Joe’s fresh dough is so damn good. The only drawback is the dough is sized for a maximum pizza of 12”, but I’ll take it! My next trip there, I will stock up on it. It freezes well.

A rather large (and rather expensive) NY strip steak…so we split it. Med rare & topped with some shrimp sautéed in brown butter; sautéed mushrooms and onions. Classic steak dinner and so satisfying.
