Some A2 landlords and property managers don't want to have to compete for tenants.

#A2Council I get that a height limit in the low-rise 'hoods is inevitable, but proposed unit density limits are so counterproductive. Zoning needs to be flexible, probably through the "neighborhood context" concept, to allow small apartments citywide. Make neighborhoods affordable, win elections.

Please don't do months of research, design, and fabrication to make a bike rack. Just buy and install a good simple bike rack that works (not this one).

Recent federal directives have prioritized funding research on regret and detransition following gender-affirming care. @kgamarel.bsky.social et al: This disproportionate focus on regret, affecting less than 1% of recipents, diverts resources from health epidemiological-based research priorities.

I talked to WEMU about why I voted for Props A&B after voting for a "park" in 2018. I'm embarrassed to share that. But I want the many voters like me to know that we can vote for AADL to provide our public common space downtown (and so much more). #A2Council

Relevant to #a2council discussions about unit limits. 27% is a lot better than 182% but still going the wrong direction…
When four homes replace a SFH, each new home is about the same price as the original, and at 5 units or more, the new homes tend to be more affordable. But the critical comparison is to the 1-for-1 replacement — a mansionization, in other words.

It's true. I've met many lovely people while volunteering for @moreneighborsa2.org. One's a grad student in a multiplex on my block who has to move bc a new mgmt company is raising the rent. Another grad student and one undergrad I met use food pantries bc their rent is so high. #A2Council
Dozens of dedicated volunteers put in sweat and time repping More Neighbors A2. They report stories like this: positive interactions with neighbors, sometimes leading to deeper connections.

We envision a more densely populated and inclusive Ann Arbor where these interactions are commonplace.
enjoyed a lovely afternoon delivering lawn signs for @moreneighborsa2.org and as a bonus met some friendly neighbors in the process. sign the petition and get a sign to show support for building more housing in *all* ann arbor neighborhoods!!!! #a2council

#A2Council Once again, it is laid out in full view: No matter the pains the City takes to address every fear, no matter what topic we give in on, the stream of bad-faith objections will never end. Process objections are weaponized to stop the outcome they don't want. More capitulation will not help.

#A2Council wisely ended parking minimums. But are we working on effectively managing curb parking in high demand areas? Residents worry zoning reform will reduce their access to nearby curb parking. The fear is unreasonable in most of the city, but could probably be addressed. See below 👇
#SanDiego should remove minimum parking regulations & thereby reduce its housing, traffic & pollution crises.

Just 1 thing is crucial for avoiding a backlash: manage curb parking using permits & prices to make at least 1 space available on every...

Chatbots — LLMs — do not know facts and are not designed to be able to accurately answer factual questions. They are designed to find and mimic patterns of words, probabilistically. When they’re “right” it’s because correct things are often written down, so those patterns are frequent. That’s all.

#A2Council We're going to show Ann Arbor that most residents stand up for smarter laws and better housing options. The status quo may be working for some, but we want an Ann Arbor For All. Let's stop banning the good housing we need. We need a new plan. ⤵️
Building Ann Arbor For All means smarter laws to give us more abundant housing options.
