Goodnight from Jack Hurley, still taking helpful directions from his dead wife as he pushes their Vauxhall Victor F towards Burwood. Goodnight from Chas Foster, fixing newspapers to the windows of his shed so no-one can see him making illegal sprite traps. Goodnight from Hookland.

There comes a point when we begin to encounter more polite, respectful and well-mannered ghosts than we do people. This is why I tell those who ask that I prefer the company of spectres to that of the living. - #CJosiffe #Ghosts

Goodnight from Morton Parish Council, where the vote to ban making promotional images of the village’s infamous Wyrm has ended in rancour and harsh curses. Goodnight from Tabitha Mantel, sure she can hear Faery clocks chiming the ninth of the hour. Goodnight from Hookland.

I particularly recommend one of his last films - the appropriately-titled Swansong.
Ah fuck. Udo Kier died. He was fucking awesome. RIP

Thinking of making a horror movie about a man who keeps discovering 12-inch rulers in his home. It's a found footage film.

For this #DoctorWhoDay let me just use this pic again. My latest addition to the collection and I think it's the oldest one! Found it in an Antique Shope in Knaresborough while visiting last week. Happy Day to all who celebrate.

Well, Plato thought everyone was wrong except him, so...
I just learned that Plato thought debates were stupid and dangerous. He wrote that debates are not about truth or philosophy, they’re about ego, pride and winning at any cost. I gotta read Plato’s Dialogues. Another reason humanities are important. They are always relevant

Winter conducts its slow seduction. It has disrobed the trees, its cold kisses make them shiver. Revelation of their wooden bones offers us a new, intimate language. They speak of swelling dark and coming ice. They speak their lover's secret names. – #EmilyCBanting, 1981 #Winter

Forest fires.

Someone worked out that the Californian Redwood (Sequioa Sempervirens) is only capable of seeding after a forest fire has cleared the undergrowth.
How did Nature get along before we started raking??

If an author approves of everything their characters say, it will be difficult to write a scene in which two characters have an argument.
It boggle my mind how some people think the author approves of every word that comes out of their characters' mouths.

Y'all, villains say villainous things. Making sure they have good arguments is just quality characterization, not me trying to convince you they're right. #booksky #amwriting
