These are the last words of the American president who challenged us to go to the Moon. John F. Kennedy was murdered on November 22, 1963. This is the conclusion of the speech he had planned to deliver that evening.

I've been having really good luck with my book choices as of late. I've read all of them within a day and had to take a day or two in between just thinking about them. So, I'm looking for suggestions of what to read next. I prefer standalone novels over series. 1/ #booksky

I just watched the documentary "Dear Uncle Adolf" (2010) on @kanopy.com and it's hard to put into words how it's effecting me. The parallels between the letters to Hitler and so many of the social media posts to you know who are terrifying. (If you don't have Kanopy, you should and it's free.)

I just completed my online poll worker training for the November 4th Statewide Special Election. I know that most Californians will vote by mail, but it's important that we have sites across each city and county for people to drop off their ballots. #prop50 is the sole measure on the ballot. #vote

Hi Internet! I'm Drew and THIS IS MY FACE.

If this GIF has ever brought you joy in the past, I humbly ask you to consider making a donation to the National MS Society. It would mean a lot to me and to those I know affected by the disease!

Sadly, the mass shooting at that school today is going to get swallowed up by the death of a man who had no sympathy for them.

Drowning prevention program comes to a halt at the CDC
A few years in, a CDC drowning prevention program was ready to share its findings on how to mitigate the leading cause of death among young children. Then the administration terminated that staff.

The store where I work is being pressured by our DM into having a sidewalk sale this weekend even though temps will be 100+. Why anyone would think that people will shop outside in the heat rather than go into cool store is beyond me. Sure, we'd have game outside but cornhole isn't THAT appealing...

Cost of Trump's D.C. Occupation: $1.1M per day.

Cost to operate public housing for D.C.'s entire homeless population: $169,226 per day.

It's not about what this country can or can’t afford.

It’s about priorities.

Not my representative but still a call for action. Congress is in recess which means your representatives and senators are in their home offices (or should be). Call, write, visit and let them know that you haven’t “moved on” & demand they stop protecting pedophiles, unless they’re one too?! 🤬
Gimenez: "I haven't heard from my constituents. Americans are over the Epstein case. They have been over it for a long time ... we need to move on."

Only about $1.60 of tax dollars per US citizen per year was spent on the public broadcasting budget.

If you donate $20 a year, you're covering what your tax dollars would have done. If you do a monthly donation of $7, your donation can equal the tax dollars of 54 people spent on PBS per year.
