The Demon Count by Anne Stuart. It's a silly 'Candelight Intrigue' novel from 1980. I picked it up on a whim at a library book sale. It's a light fun read but with super tiny print so I had to rest my eyes for a bit. I'll probably finish it tomorrow.

That's sitting on my shelf waiting for me to read it. I think when I finish up the one I started today, that will be next up for me. Your post came at the right time. Thank you.

That’s a bummer. Thank you for letting me know.

I've read Rivers of London - loved it. I just want something to fall into. I looked at the stacks I have waiting to be read and I have a lot of non-fiction. I love it but I'm in the mood to be somewhere else. (Can't imagine why.) My library system doesn't have either of the books you've recommended.

What I've read lately: The Murderbot Diaries Vol. 1 by Martha Wells, The Unkillable Frank Lightning by Josh Rountree, Storm Front by Jim Butcher, Crocodile Tears by Xanthe Walter, Hidden Pictures by Jason Rekuulak & Anything Goes by John Barrowman. So, suggestions on what to read next? 2/ #booksky

I just finished reading Hidden Pictures by Jason Rekulak; I read it in a single day. For me, it was like watching it in my head like a movie. I felt like only a couple of hours had gone by because I could see it in my minds eye. It's amazing when you find a book that can do that for you. #booksky

I keep hearing this but for those of us working in retail or food service we don't get national holidays off. It wouldn't make a bit of a difference to a majority of the electorate.

Staying so long has tainted her legacy. She was once a great leader, but she clung to power for so long that apparently she didn't even mentor anyone to take her place in leadership of the House. Jeffries is a milquetoast Corporate Dem that Pelosi in her prime wouldn't have given a second glance.

I worked at a polling site yesterday and all of us were surprised by how many people came out to vote in person. The energy of everyone who came in was off the charts positive. We had one person run in one minute before the polls closed and was so excited to be able to vote. It was a great day.

My favorite thing about your posts are all of the snarky comments that you inspire from the rest of us. If you're writing these yourself, that's just mortifying for you because by now you have to realize that you're not resonating with ANYONE. If a staffer is writing them, they should be replaced.
