I hope it’s clear that this is happening at least in part because he pulled the same unhinged belligerence against Iran last year and then Venezuela, and Europe was happy to let him get away with it because they arrogantly assumed that shit was for the browns and could surely never happen to them.

Unlike a lot of anti-social stuff it feels like in my area there is less open phone noise than there was a few years ago
Gotta do a massssssssive push on phone noise on buses. Has to have big top down element. Expecting individuals to do it alone won’t work

This is such a good turn of phrase.
This is what I like to call a "tragic accident at chainsaw juggling school" story: the information is new, but nobody is surprised.

I am extremely confused as to why the UK government and police are saying Grok’s mass-scale CSAM generation is an issue for Ofcom.

This isn’t about X failing to moderate CSAM, which is an Online Safety Act issue. It is about the company and its technology being actively involved in its generation.

On arriving at my hotel in Thailand, I walked into my room and headed straight through the open glass door onto the balcony to see the view. Except it wasn’t open. And it wasn’t safety glass.

I needed 42 stitches and still have scars on my hand, arms and legs.
in mykonos on my honeymoon, tried to crush a large piece of ice into my drink and wound up with shards of glass in my hand. walked the city for half an hour for a bandage, bleeding everywhere, before giving up. met everyone back at the bar, stuffed it with a bunch of napkins, and kept hanging out
What's the most ridiculous way you ever hurt yourself? I got out of the tub, skidded in water and tripped over the toilet. Ankle sprain.

Just watched the new Knives Out and I think it's really important you know that the scene in the Seminary's Gym is filmed in the same place Rick Astley filmed the music video for Never Gonna Give You Up.

I saw the window tracery and immediately made my friends pause the film so I could tell them.

A not-very-good 'satirical' xmas song about Kier Starmer is No. 3 in the Christmas singles sales chart (although it didn't sell or stream enough to hit the main chart).

But I'm pretty certain it's AI (the artist says on YT they often use AI) - is this the first AI single in a UK chart? #xmasno1

I know there are bigger problems with AI than this, but this absolutely sucks big time
Coming across anything fun online now comes with a necessary pause for a call up to the booth for review. Like waiting to find out if it was a catch or not in the NFL. We are robbed of spontaneous delight.
Funny animal videos no longer being trustworthy just fucking sucks all around. I love the wonder of animal behavior and what it says about the experience of being alive. It's because it happened in reality that it's so fun. It's not fun if it was just made up. There's no wonder there.

How on earth is Jade only on one vote so far?

So my final +1 goes to Britain’s best popstar (and some friends)

Is Don't Tap The Glass Tyler's best album? Probably not. Is it his most fun? Hell yes.
