It's a weird moment right now because back in 2001 I remember thinking, invading Iraq & Afghanistan for something they clearly did not do will destabilise the global order, there's gonna be war & poverty & economic crisis, and that's what breeds fascism, it's coming. And here it is. No surprise.

Delighted for Holly Cairns, her partner and her family, but the fact that she (who famously won her first seat on the council by one vote) won't be able to vote today shows how ridiculous and exclusionary our restrictive voting system is. Surely she should have a postal vote!
