Scarlets lost to Northampton 43-28 & retained the #ChallengedCup going into this weekend.

However a last minute try by Mee meant Scarlets beat Ulster 27-22 & the #ChallengedCup moves to Belfast

Will Ulster keep the #ChallengedCup or will it move back to Wales when they play Cardiff on the 31st.
Pau win away against Scarlets 38-47.

The #ChallengedCup returns to Wales this time in out West (West currently not best).

Will the change of DoR help Scarlets as they head to Northampton in the last round of the Champions Cup group stages?
After holding the #ChallengedCup since losing to Dragons RFC in the 2nd round of Europe, Lyon finally won again this time defeating Pau 22-17.

Pau are away at Scarlets next weekend in the Champions Cup. Will they retain the #ChallengedCup or will it return to Wales?

Briliant news 'A Numbers Game' is a cracking crime novel that you easily see as a TV show
Who is the mysterious person with no social media profile? And yet, he also looks HAUNTINGLY FAMILIAR?

He even has the AUDACITY to say you can already pre order this funny, violent. twisty working class crime novel! anumbersgamerjdarklandingpage.carrd.co

What is more... 1/2
Our sister imprint, the Datura crime list, have some very exiting news. We're not at all sure about this RJ Dark fella though - looks a bit shady to us. Cool cover though...

But if you do want to take a chance and pre-order their books, here's the link:

If you were looking to move away from Substack and it's problematic owner
I will reiterate that if you are an independent journo/hobbyist I will happily set up your ghost install and host it for a few quid above cost price.

You set up your own stripe and mailgun accounts, and you get to keep ALL your revenue.

And post migration from wordpress/substack is pretty easy.
If there is one resolution I want for journalists this year: it is to get off S*bstack and use Ghost or any other indy publishing platform that does not fund literal nazis instead.

This sounds like a job for @garius.bsky.social
One of those writer questions that requires specialist knowledge and will probably get me on a list.

If you wanted to cause maximum damage to the Underground, flooding it form the Thames for instance. What do you blow up, and how far reaching would it be?

Expert knowledge gratefully received

The best screen version of Robin Hood without question
[The ITV Robin of Sherwood series is the most significant change in how Robin Hood stories were told in a good couple of hundred years, and have shaped every one since, including viewing Richard as a shit.]

#ChallengedCup

Lyon duly lost at home to the behemoth that is Toulouse 19-41 so retain the #ChallengedCup for another week.

Next up Lyon have Castres away on the 27th.
So last week I thought it time to resurrect the #ChallengedCup as the winless teams from URC & Top14 were playing each other.

Dragons duly lost to Perpignan but this week they beat Lyon.

So the #ChallengedCup now resides in the Top14 and next weekend is contested by Lyon at home to Toulouse!!

On this week's WRRAP @clairesourfitz.bsky.social mentioned that winless Dragons go away to winless Perpignan in the challenge cup.

Surely the perfect fixture to reignite the Challenged Cup?

Especially with Newcastle also in the same group

What an incredibly poor game of rugby that was.

It couldn't be a posher sounding group of players

Having seen Sean O'Brien score for Connacht against Ospreys this weekend and knowing there have been a few SOB's within Irish rugby.

A question to the Irish rugby afficianados, has every Province had an SOB in the Pro era?
