If there is insufficient talent then why are so many Welsh qualified players playing in England/France?

Surely if the cash was there they could have been retained?

Remember when we had Halfpenny & Williams so Dan Evans couldn't get near the squad?

I'd love to have Dan Evans now
November 16, 2025 at 10:18 PM
He isn't available for the Boks game as he plays at Gloucester.

It's Carter, Rhys Davies & Fender as the only 3 locks in the squad playing in Wales who'll be available.

None have had any game time so far
November 16, 2025 at 10:16 PM
For the NZ game we need to blood from the bench at least one of the locks that will have to play against South Africa. Otherwise we're throwing them to the wolves
November 16, 2025 at 10:10 PM
I'm going with who is in the squad. Not a lot of proven options there
November 16, 2025 at 10:02 PM
Out of the players in the squad I'm tempted by Beetham at fullback for some solidity.
November 16, 2025 at 9:17 PM
I'd drop Murray. The ability to step someone doesn't make up for the poor positioning or inability to catch a high ball
November 16, 2025 at 8:50 PM
Hard to show anything for Scarlets at the moment
November 16, 2025 at 2:08 PM
The only other centres in the current squad are Hawkins, Tompkins & Hennessey.

Hawkins probably deserves a shot over Thomas but not sure if swapping or Llewellyn for the others makes a difference
November 16, 2025 at 1:59 PM
There's no real place in test rugby for a centre who isn't a carrying option, no matter how silky their skills are.

Thomas either needs to convert to 15 or even 10 to make the most of his ball playing ability at test level
November 16, 2025 at 1:25 PM
For Wales the ball goes through 10 & 12 with the team going backwards. It looks pretty but isn't effective.

Wales need a carrying option at 12 IMO.
November 16, 2025 at 1:18 PM
There's no 'get out of jail' player in the Wales backline.

At club level Edwards plays with Walsh as 2nd playmaker at 15, with a crash option at 12. Which gives a pressure release.

Jack Walsh qualifies in 2027....
November 15, 2025 at 6:11 PM
That's unfair. I was also worried as Tom Rogers kept knocking it back to the Argentinians
November 15, 2025 at 2:46 PM
Was it mostly the view through your fingers in terror everytime a highball went up?

I know mine was
November 15, 2025 at 2:33 PM
Weren't Wales 8 from 10 in the lineout against Argentina?

And one of those was it literally going through Mann's hands
November 15, 2025 at 2:28 PM
He always trains in this one. He saves the yellow one for match day
November 13, 2025 at 12:37 PM
It's ridiculous that it's happened twice.
November 10, 2025 at 10:48 AM
A lineage of Lee Byrne, Halfpenny & Liam for the last 15 years.

Shame we're where we now are. Dan Evans would be nailed on if he was around now
November 9, 2025 at 7:26 PM
Winnett lost his place due to a couple of soft missed tackles as the last line of defence
November 9, 2025 at 5:50 PM
When does Jack Walsh qualify for Wales?
November 9, 2025 at 5:48 PM
When your team is rubbish not having a decent line out caller makes everything worse.

Case in point Wales without Beard this summer
