Not to mention authors don't get just ONE purchase. Libraries tend to purchase multiple copies of popular books, they also buy the physical audiobook, and audiobook streaming and ebook rights. Obviously not of EVERY book purchased, but requested/super popular ones they could buy all of these.

This is, if anything, too charitable to Madison, who at almost every major decision point where his influence was felt during the framing contended for proslavery interests.
Can anyone confirm Heritage’s strange claim that Montpelier has no exhibits on James Madison? And also, the Constitution protected the institution of slavery in several ways, an institution that made Madison’s entire economic existence possible. Madison owned ~100 people and freed none of them.
