"Democracy" south of the border looks a lot like permanent rule by an entrenched white minority.
I've slept a bit on this other than a few posts, but one of the most brazen things happening in state governments right now is that the Kentucky GOP is trying to impeach a liberal justice (and the first/only Black woman to join the court) because of a vote she took last year they don't like.

This is what Americans are paying for whether they like it or not: they're paying their government to imprison and torment kids who commited the "crime" of being born in the wrong postal code.

Don't look away. Fight back.

I feel this way about pretty much all vaccine-preventable infectious diseases. You shouldn't be allowed to dump cyanide into municipal drinking water and you shouldn't be allowed to recreationally spread viruses around shared public spaces.
My most authoritarian opinion is that the MMR vaccine should be mandatory, with only medical (not religious or floofy) exemptions allowed. www.theatlantic.com/ideas/2026/0...

I hate hate.
Some clarifications about the victims' ages: at the school, one 39 yo female educator, three 12yo female students, two male students age 12 and 13. At the home, a 39 year old woman and 11 yo boy.

📢This is a reintroduction of the Hub Model with softer language📢

The “means tested” supplement is only available to kids who qualify for the DTC (incredibly hard to access).

There are some disabled kids receiving supports right now who will lose them, instead of funding being *actually* inclusive.
British Columbia has unveiled a revamp of its funding system for children with support needs, including those with autism, that it says will be "fairer, easier to access and better co-ordinated."

This video by the Durham County DOH, about how viruses like covid spread, is more informative than about anything released on the topic by public health officials in Canada.

If you want to help prevent your friends and family from getting sick, please share it with them!

Abolishing ICE is the start. This will end when these agents occupy the cells they're currently using to jail innocent people.
ICE told nurses this Minneapolis man “purposefully ran headfirst into a brick wall.”

What actually happened is that they pulled him from a car, beat him so viciously with a steel baton that he had 8 skull fractures, 5 life-threatening brain hemorrhages, and couldn’t remember he had a daughter.

And yes, I'd say this about the Blue Jays if they'd won and made the same choice. I don't give a fuck about team loyalty. Talk to the Epstein files about it.
