#GVerse MoveOn calls for Chuck Schumer @schumer.senate.gov to step down from leadership.

“Around 80% of MoveOn members that the group surveyed said that Schumer should quit his leadership position.”

It is time to let someone else take the wheel & lead!

And the minority leader who let it happen.
Americans deserve better than the eight Democratic Senators who voted on a promise, without a guarantee, to protect the Affordable Care Act.

Shaheen: "We've heard from a number of our colleagues on the other side of the aisle that they're willing to come to the table, they're willing to work with us once the govt is open to get this done. We've heard the same thing from the White House. So now we'll see if they're really gonna work w/us"

In the most predictable development ever, Mike Johnson is not committing to hold a House vote on ACA subsidies

It's me again, just putting it out there that I am going to need space in 2026 for at least 5 events that can hold at least 100 people. Looking for accessible and also CHEAP spaces in NYC. None of the convenings will be charging people to participate. Thank you.

Whoa -- Sen. Durbin went to up Leader Thune during the vote last night to tell him that on the shutdown vote and ACA promise that "8 of us are sticking our neck out that you're going to keep your word. I hope you will. He said 'I assure you I will,'" Durbin says just now

In response to this claim that the "strategy didn't work."

The people were on our side. We were building momentum to help save our democracy. We could have won - the premium increase notices were just starting.

And giving in now will embolden him. Things will likely get worse.

For every asshole telling us we “don’t understand how the senate works”… here is your reply.
Sanders: That is a totally meaningless gesture. You can get 100 votes here and it won't mean anything because the House is not going to take it up.

You’re gonna have to start sealing your mail-in ballot envelope inside another unmarked envelope… lest the USPS “accidentally” delay your missive en route.
NEW: The U.S. Supreme Court has agreed to hear a case over whether states can count mail ballots that arrive after Election Day.

The RNC and the Libertarian Party are challenging a Mississippi law that allows ballots to be counted so long as they are postmarked by Election Day.

You should look at those who set up the deal, not just those who voted for it, and try to figure out why they gave in now. The eight who voted for it are reflective of a bunch more who would have voted for it but the politics were bad.
