In some cases, the core may be unique and irreplaceable, especially where land has since been developed or reclassified. Maintaining a reference library of boreholes enables future research to take place using new techniques, saving time, reducing costs and limiting the environmental impact.

Quetzalcoatlite:
- Named after Quetzalcoatl, an Aztec and Toltec god of the sea, due to its sea-blue colour
- Forms in the oxidised zone of tellurium-bearing hydrothermal deposits #minerals
- This below is a co-type specimen (one of the specimens used to define the species)
Tiny blue-green crystals (there's a green coloured arrow stuck on the specimen to point these out) with some leaf-green illite and blue azurite on a matrix. From Bambollita Mine, Moctezuma, Sonora, Mexico. Specimen from the Natural History Museum, London's collections.

Met another wheelie scientist here at the PhD programme symposium I'm attending - so great to see wheelie folks doing STEM. During my PhD all my disabled activist friends were in Disability Studies (which is awesome!) but I missed having fellow disabled STEM folks. Barriers keep so many of us out.

I am physically disabled.
I have to use a wheelchair and/or crutches to move around.

During my Bristol MSc I was unable to partake in essential research for my project - due to poor access - thus limiting my thesis

Bristol is taking no responsibility for this.

I’m at a loss as to what to do.
