Can we all agree that, when we are booking appointments with doctors, we - as patients - are ASKING for THEIR time, and must work our schedules around theirs accordingly? Can we agree that we're NOT ENTITLED to their time, nor can we expect the doctor to work their schedules around us? Right?

They're talking about "water based" cooking now. Cooking things in water instead of oils. It's soup. They're making soup.

That scene in Princess Mononoke, where Okkoto - the Boar God - says "...my children grow weak and stupid," before succumbing to the hatred that turns him into a demon...?

Likening the current US political scene to boars is mean to the boars, but it's quite fitting here.

Can we stop calling these atrocities "deportations." These people sold to El Salvadorian prisons were not deported. Deportation is a process that did not take place. They were rounded up and removed with no process. They were kidnapped, not deported.

Please share!!! This is getting ridiculous—they just can’t accept a loss. Please help spread the word to North Carolina. The North Carolina Court of Appeals ruled in a 2-1 decision that over 60,000 votes cast in last year’s closely contested state Supreme Court race must be verified and recounted.

Today's high point involves the discovery of using the coincidentally well-placed hallway pictures with cleanly reflective glass as a way to snoop and avoid anyone who may be at the front door.

It's our lunch hour.
Don't jiggle the handle.
Read the sign.
We're back at 1pm.
See you then.

Incredible aurora tonight almost 200 miles southeast of Fairbanks, Alaska. We had to drive five hours to clear skies, but we were rewarded with this amazing show.

Maybe corny but it was helpful for me to hear Henry Rollins saying "this is not time to be dismayed, this is punk rock time, this is what Joe Strummer trained you for... You can be thunderous in your own life, to the eight people around you. That rubs off... Goodness is viral"

Y'all, big request here - unless you've got a serious symptom-backed medical concern - PLEASE don't call your specialist's office at 8am on a Monday.

The coffee I've drip hasn't hit the system yet, and we're still catching up on voicemails from people who don't understand what Operating Hours are.

History: “Eventually the incompetent fascists invariably lose power and then society recovers in a new and stronger way”

Me: “Oh, cool, so what has to happen for the spell to be broken??”

History: “mmmm…well, that part is less encouraging.”

A friend of mine was apologizing for the garbled mess her Voice to Text app made of her last message.
I told her "no worries, I'm an apex speaker of Ver-tex-ese."
Her response was: "that's acute one."

Keith Haring died of AIDS aged 31 on 16 Feb 1990.
One of his last works, Unfinished Painting, was deliberately incomplete, reflecting the devastating, unquantifiable loss to the arts due to AIDS.

It's always been the case that "buying" an ebook from amazon was only actually a loan they could rescind at any point, but lately Amazon have gone harder on this, and it is 100% so that they can wipe banned books from your libraries without your consent.
