They “second-screened” Stranger Things so much in this final season that it may as well just be called “Exposition”

This is a great technique that is also employed brilliantly by Kiyoshi Kurosawa in a number of his thriller/horror films.

It’s a terrific lesson to incorporate into your filmmaking, and it’s possible to incorporate it without needing a custom built set with pre-rigged lights
One of the things I was most glad to talk with Rian Johnson about was working with his cinematographer Steve Yedlin (he also shouted out his production designer Rick Heinrichs) on these remarkable sequences 📽️

I was going to post Elisabeth Moss talking about how “Fred Armisen’s greatest impression is that of a normal person” but when I looked it up to get the wording right I learned AI has somehow turned it from being a scathing post divorce condemnation to being a really nice complement

I think I like Wake Up Dead man the most despite its mystery being the weakest

But I’m a sucker for priests having a crisis of faith.

Not much point debating anything about Nolan’s The Odyssey.

Even when Nolan is bad (TENET, the cameo sequence of Interstellar) he’s still pretty good and worth seeing

Victimhood is a huge part of marketing Christian films now because their base is evangelical Americans.

If you make a Christian film that sucks (not saying this does) you can be guaranteed its makers will say they’re being silenced in order to manifest an audience

they didn't need AI to make Silksong, it just needed some deeply insane guys to have a blank check for living expenses until their next thing was done, I think we should try doing more of that instead

Cool Zone incoming.
AI is the biggest scam in the last 30 years of tech. One that can collapse an entire industry because as the age of the social network started, silicon valley realized they didn't need a hard product to sell, but ways accruing and selling data.
AI is the death peak of this
